In a moment of TENDERNESS, Lionsgate picks up Russell Crowe's serial killer flick!!!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. This movie, TENDERNESS, sounds cool as hell and I'm really looking forward to seeing Russell Crowe in a down and dirty thriller. Crowe plays a Detective who has been following a serial killer (Sophie Taub) for a while and young actor Jon Foster is a teen obsessed with her. Lionsgate now has the North American, UK, South African and Australian distribution rights for the flick.
The only thing that makes me a little cautious about this is that John Polson directed it... The man also directed SWIMFAN... yikes... But this is an indie flick, based on a well-liked book and with some serious good talent... He also has Laura Dern in the flick. Let's hope this is his "Sorry about SWIMFAN" movie.
