Flames On Tony Manero!! See Travolta In HAIRSPRAY!!
Well, we knew this was coming. But knowing about it and actually facing it are two different issues entirely.
USA Today has unleashed an image that...really....makes so much sense in the grand scheme of things.
It's Travolta...as he appears in HAIRSPRAY...playing Edna Turnblad...a role originated by Divine in John Waters' 1988 progenitor film. For a moment, I thought he was reprising his makeup from BATTLEFIELD EARTH.
He looks a bit like the girl my roommate couldn't score with in college.
I'm looking forward to this movie. 'Tis a fun show and, with such genius afoot, the movie's gotta be good for a smile or two along the way. No?
