Well, Antz, it sounds plausible to me. James Cameron would probably go to Antarctica just for the challenge of shooting it in 3D. That sounds likely to me. I’m not sure how that affects his work on AVATAR. Could he be using the opportunity to shoot some plates as well, footage that he can manipulate later? Who knows?

The article says that Steve Wozniak will be making a trip to Antarctica with Buzz Aldrin, and that James Cameron is going to shoot it. They’ll be driving Hummers from the McMurdo Station to the South Pole. It must be nice to be a billionaire and just do stuff like this for the sake of doing it. I sincerely hope this is going to happen, and that it’s just one more thing we’ll see with Cameron’s name on it in the next few years.
