I am – Hercules!!

Tonight Jack gets his hands on something he’s been after for more than 20 hours. Major spoilers for tonight's episode and the ones beyond lurk in the text invisible.

One of Bauer’s team is caught with his mask off by a Chinese consulate surveillance camera, and Bauer’s raid is beginning to look to the Chinese like an act of war.

Palmer, Novick and Bauer all try to convince the Chinese that Chinese radicals – not U.S. agents – were responsible for the raid. It is up to a very pissed Audrey Raines to provide an alibi for Jack.

The consulate’s head of security, who’s just about to leave CTU in frustration, zeroes in on Edgar Stiles - and catches him in a lie.

Meanwhile, the injured Lee Jong wakes up after surgery and gives Jack the location of Habib Marwan’s operations center. Before CTU can get to Marwan’s lair, however, Marwan activates the countdown to nuclear launch.

Jack and Curtis arrive at Marwan’s operations center and capture Marwan at last. Jack shoots and begins torturing Marwan to learn the missile’s new target. Marwan only laughs as the countdown comes to its horrifying conclusion.

We learn of Naked Mandy’s connection to it all next week …
