Hey folks, Harry here with a tidbit from JERSEY GIRL that Kevin showed attendees at his Secret Stash Bash for Jay Mewes' return! Sounds like a very fun scene, watch out though... if you don't want spoilers... you may not wish to read...

Hey Harry,      

This afternoon I attended the welcome back party for Jay Mewes by Kevin Smith at Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank, NJ.  It was a lot of fun as Jay and Kevin signed autographs and had their pictures taken.  During my session (only thirty people could come in at a time), Brian O'Halloran who played Dante in Clerks even was able to stop in.     

The most exciting part of it all was at the end, Kevin showed two trailers for Jersey Girl and a clip as well.  The first was a teaser with little to no dialogue played but just music.  It was a beautiful montage but was even topped by the full trailer which moved me to the point where I began to get weepy.     

For a more descriptive mention, I'll talk to you about the clip we saw.  It starts with Ben Affleck trying to get back into the PR game after several years only to be turned down by two interviewers (Jason Lee and Matt Damon).  He goes home and enters his house where his daughter and a boy playmate are showing there private areas to each other.  This is followed by a hilarious calmly done interrogation scene where you'd almost think the little boy got the daughter pregnant.  It all ends with a fabulous exchange of dialogue between the little girl and Affleck that is so wonderfully innocent and hilarious that it would be a crime to spoil it.    

I hope you liked this little letter and I hope Mr. Smith doesn't get pissed at me if he thinks I'm ruining the movie (which I don't think I am).
