Well according to Lois Lane and her local Ottawan newspaper, ANTZ will be bowing first at the Ottawa International Animation Festival. Last I heard the film was set to show on our silver screens across the country on October 2nd, or maybe it was the 4th. Memory is such a delicate thing, that Doris Wishman evening screwed mine up. But here ya go...

According to July 16's Ottawa X Press, one of this city's weekly papers, the Ottawa International Animation Festival will be "premiering DreamWorks Picture's Ants[sic], featuring the voice of Woody Allen."

The festival runs from Tuesday, September 29 to Friday, October 4. However, it's not clear if this is truly the North American premiere of Antz. I called their information line to ask if this will be the first official screening, but the woman who answered said she "can't exactly say at this point."
