The Scoop on the Latest Treatment of FREDDY VS JASON!!!
Harry here... Haven't got this confirmed yet, but figured you good folks would like a look see on this never ending project development and see if New Line was getting any closer at all at doing this project justice. What do you think? Well... we'll see... Personally I miss the boxing match... snicker...
Hey, I'm sure you get this a lot, and I know you don't have a lot of basis to trust what I'm telling you, but I've got a "scoop." It's in regards to the Freddy vs. Jason movie that New Line has already sunk about 3 million into. I'm a [BLANK] down at New Line, and writer Bobby Herbeck was paid a hefty cash load to pen out a treatment for the movie. I thought it was interesting so I snooped. Here's all that I could come up with, sorry it looks like shite, but I'm doing two things at once. Oh, you can call me AlfOmega.
Freddy Vs. Jason Treatment
Black screen, have a beeping heartmonitor. Keep beeping throughout firstscene. Open with a young male actor(between ages 18-24), walking around in a New York style environment, very darkand decrepit. Steps onto a subway train, very few people are in any of these opening shots, except maybe a RobertEnglundized bum. Switch to a shot ofFreddy Kruger driving the train, laughing hysterically as the doors slam shut. Turbulence erupts, and the train crashes(show shot from the outside of the train). Switch to pan-over shot from the inside of the train, there seems to bea cocoon of glass/shrapnel wrapped around the boy that immediately falls apartafter an establishing shot. The boyemerges from the wreck completely unfazed, walks down the train tracks, andutters something along the lines of, “Is that the best you can do?” Freddy shows disdain.
Cut away to a shot of the sameyoung male actor (who we’ll call Andrew). He is in what seems to be a government research lab, lying in acoma. We find out, through a dialoguebetween our heroine (the young scientist Diane, who works in the ScientificAnomaly unit of the US Govt.), that this is the last of the “Springwood kids.” Apparently the government feels that therewas somehow a mental virus that was able to infect the town’s youths, givingthem horrible nightmares, and eventually leading to their deaths, through adeterioration of the frontal lobes of the brain. By pumping Andrew’s brain full of powerful enzymes, they were ableto preserve his life, at the cost of his consciousness. Diane is explaining this to a group ofgovernment officials, who are questioning the use of their funding to keep avegetable alive. They threaten to cutfunding, and when Diane insists upon learning why their research teams need alarger budget, they give in to her demands and settle on keeping Andrew on lifesupport for another month. Theofficials leave, and Diane gazes at Andrew with a look of longing.
Cut away to the govt. officialsdebating about Diane, and they all agree that she is asking too many questions, with the exception of General Curtis (30ish man, good build). They walk into a high security area, wherethey discuss their potential super weapon. We see a disgustingly rotted, yet large Jason, in a tank of some sort, occasionally moving his muscles. Theydiscuss how they have preserved his life thus far, and, if used in the rightmethod, he could be “bigger than the A-Bomb.” A tiny mole of a scientist (Dr. Zleiss), shows the men his telepathiclink into the minds of people unable to use their frontal lobes in theirbrain. He straps himself into a machineof some sort, and, with Jason and him both going into convulsions, we hear asound coming from both men, “kill, kill, kill, kill…” (in classic Jasonfashion). Gen. Curtis shuts down themachine immediately, and Dr. Zleiss, very worn out, begins cackling in amaniacal manner.
End section one
This is the only actual written document I could find, but through listening to some conversations, I know that Jason and Andrew have a mind transference, where they switch bodies. Freddy is brought into the real world, where he kills Gen. Curtis, and it’s up toAndrew/Jason to stop him. There was talk of a scene in which Andrew/Jason kisses Diane for good luck, and it sounded both disgusting and hilarious. Freddy and Andrew/Jason fight in a government run ghost town, in a huge brawl, and Freddy walks out the supposed victor, beating the shite out of Andrew/Jason, but keeping him alive. Freddy apparently climbs on walls, and is very nimble and spider like in the fight, whilst Andrew/Jason just smashes stuff. Somehow, there is a total switch up of bodies, and Freddy gets into Jason’s mind, the dream area of it at least. Dr. Zleiss goes nuts, tries to kill Diane and is shot by her. She somehow transfers Jason into Freddy’s mind, and, in a balls to the wall dream zone both monsters rip each other apart. The movie ends with Andrew waking up and the audience is left to wonder who is controlling his mind. I thought it was pretty cool, but a little far fetched. I’m just glad there’s been progress, as I'm a fan of both franchises.
