The Future of Tim Burton...

Hey folks, Harry here... With the mixed reviews coming in on JURASSIC PARK 3, our last great hope for a big budget grand great summer movie is the Tim Burton PLANET OF THE APES. I have loved each and every single project that Tim Burton has made... I love them to death. Now, I'm curious as hell to see what he's done with PLANET OF THE APES... Ready to be blown away, hoping that Burton has hit this one out of the park. I'm ready and willing for a great summer film... I think we all are. But as this film comes closer and closer, my eyes begin to peer into the future. The first email about this future came from "I", it is unknown if that's a robot or not, but here it is....

Hey I was surfing this Planet of the Apes website promotional thing on Hollywood.com and I noticed at the end of the article Tim Burton commented on the possible revival of the Superman series. Here's what he said:

An unclear future

Burton hasn't been officially attached to another project but there are a few possibilities: Superman Lives! with Nicolas Cage--pre-production had begun on this but the budget skyrocketed and Warner Bros. pulled the plug. Burton insists it is not dead in the water. There is also talks of a Beetlejuice 2 and Catwoman, a spin-off to the Batman series. But at this point, it's all just up in the air.

Just thought you might like to know!

I

Personally Burton doing Superman still doesn't thrill me. Neither does BEETLEJUICE 2 or CATWOMAN... However I'd still love to see Burton take on SWEENEY TODD, THE HOUSE OF USHER, X- MAN WITH THE X-RAY EYES. HOWEVER, there is one project he has in his folder, above all others that I wish to see him do. This has the potential to be the best film in Tim Burton's remarkable career to date...

GEEK LOVE!!!

"A wild, often horrifying, novel about freaks, geeks and other aberrancies of the human condition who travel together (a whole family of them) as a circus. It's a solipsistic funhouse world that makes "normal" people seem bland and pitiful. Arturo the Aqua-Boy, who has flippers and an enormous need to be loved. A museum of sacred monsters that didn't make it. An endearing "little beetle" of a heroine. Sort of like Tod Browning's Freaks crossed with David Lynch and John Irving and perhaps George Eliot From Amazon.Com

Dorothy Parker has been singing songs about this book for years now... And frankly, this is the material that evokes the greatest resonance from Burton. Please Burton... Make this one! GEEK LOVE needs to be in his filmography! And he has the rights!
