All 6 A.I. TV Spots... Plus some AFFAIR OF THE NECKLACE Trailers!!!
Hey folks, Harry here with a rundown of TV Spots for A.I. that have been airing around... 6 spots to be exact... personally my favorite is spot 5, though spot 6 is growing on me. Might just be that they are the newest. Here ya go.....
Geeks At Large,
Just in case you're interested I thought I might send along links for all
6 "A.I." spots, which Warner Bros. has kindly posted in solid Quicktime.
There are other formats sure, but those don't spread the happy feeling the
folks at Apple do.

A.I. TV Spot 2
(320X240, 3.7 MB)
A.I. TV Spot 3
(320X240, 3.2 MB)
A.I. TV Spot 4
(320X240, 7.2 MB)
A.I. TV Spot 5

A.I. TV Spot 6

In another corner of Warner Bros. there's the rather musical trailer for "The
Affair Of The Necklace," available in various Quicktime sizes. Walken is
waiting.
Back to fightin' crime...

I saw this trailer before Moulin Rouge and the whole theater came down with laughter and Chris Walken is rock n' roll.
-
I pray that's sarcasm. >;)

Cutting it kind of close, eh? It would be great if a Spielberg film got slapped with an X. He's probably the only person on the planet that could break NC-17 into the mainstream.
Anyone remember Temple of Doom and the first PG-13?
A.I. is looking like the first movie I'll see this Summer. It's been pretty weak. At least it gives us nerds time to check out the stuff that fell through the cracks. I'm becoming obsessed with Michael Winterbottom after "The Claim." So, I checked out a 1998 picture called "I Want You." It's got Rachel Weisz in the first performance I've seen that's amazing. Then, again, I haven't seen "The Mummy" or "Chain Reaction." From the title, I thought it might be a little Britpack/late '90s love story. It is NOT. It's really disturbing, and original. But it's good. For all Kieslowski and "Gattaca" fans, Slawomir Idziak was the dp. He's probably got the best filters on the planet. Loved it.
Best Wishes,
Methos -

For some reason whenever I see that Affair of the Necklace thing
by revsam
All I want to know is why it's all classy when it says "A film By Charles Shyer". He's directed comedies! Not lavish costume dramas. Hmmm...
-
"Temple of Doom" was not rated PG-13 - it was just the main film to force that rating into existence. The PG-13 rating was first handed to "Red Dawn," I believe.

You may all know about this, but for those of you who do not, there is a site that has all the clues and what they mean up to this point at:
http://www.cloudmakers.org
I was happy to find this site since I just don't have the time to follow all the clues on my own. -
No offense Harry, but I thought that was frickin hilarious!(If you can't laugh at yourself sometimes, who can you laugh at?). That last part about listening quietly to everyone after the film had me laughing out loud! Oh, and AI looks like it may be the first good film of the summer. (Followed by Planet of the Apes, hopefully!)

This film may be one of the most talked about films since Psycho! It's started showing itself to be a cute little kids/adult "Hook" like Speilberg film. As the commercials have progressed the movie has evolved into something more than anybody will expect!!
I love this!!
Supposedly, it's as disturbing in parts as the first 20 minutes of Saving Private Ryan...emotionally. Saving Private Ryan was incredible...I love this whole eerie feeling of Speilberg being possed by the ghost of Kubrick...One side seems to move towards a dark fable as Speilberg somehow wants to search for the warmth it seeks.
This movie will be a masterpiece!! By far one of the greatest films in the last ten years!!
Get ready to be amazed!! I am!!
It's a movie that's bigger than itself or us..and even has the "Hollywood Blockbuster Hating" critics in awe. Some say they don't understand it...but they never say it's bad. Those who won't like this film...Don't like Speilberg!! They hate Speilberg and really hate him for making Kubrick's movie.
I can't wait for this film and I can't wait to be mezmorized!! -
who would of thought that OL' Stevo would use a RAGE like song in his trailer? Anybody know what song it is? See you all on June 27!
-
WOW!! This movie is becoming more and more and more interesting everyday!!
That #4 spot is the best to date!!
It's actually creepy!! "DAAAVID?....DAAAAAVID?" Whewy!! That sent chills down my spine!! I can't wait any longer!! Give me A.I....NOW!! -
As far as I can remember the first PG-13 rating was handed to a little movie called Firstborn, which stars Peter Weller i think. I could be wrong.
-
Wow, I know *I* wouldn't have clicked on this just for the A.I. trailers..woo! Seriosuly, does anyone care about "The Affair of the Necklace?"
-
I didn't catch the title, but it's by Ministry. I saw part of the video on MTV while surfing two nights ago. I don't know what's wierder, Ministry recording a track for a Spielburg film, of Ministry getting time on MTV. Next thing you know, Nickelodian'll be giving Jhonen Vasquez his own cartoon.
-
...but yes I care about Necklace. You have to be interested in work by your namesake (and no, I'm not called Walken.) I like trailers like this. Less dialogue = less spoilericiousness.
-
I hope this trailer isn't indicative of the whole film. It looks boring. I love period films, but Hillary Swank looks like she's practically SWOONING in every shot.
-
After listening to it over and over on the soundtrack I couldn't think of a more appropriate song for A.I.!
-
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
Warner Bros. Pictures An Aol Time Warner Co.
PG-13 Rated PG-13 for some sexual content and violent images.
Also posted day was "Planet of the Apes" - no surprise - PG-13.
-
Man, I really can't wait to see this movie..and part of the anticipation comes from trying to discern just what kind of 'feel' it will have...I keep getting so many different impressions from the trailers...
-
I admit to still having been skeptical after seeing the first three spots. Makes the film look too friendly, to me. I have to say the new ones are far more intriguing, esp. #4. Why can't it be June 29 already?!

For those of you "out of the loop" click on the following links:www.jeaninesalla.com/movietickets/index.asp or www.familiasalla-es.ro/movietickets/index.asp
You'll see the following message: The Salla women are true to their words. My grandmother, the world-famous scientist and junior film consultant, has managed to arrange a special preview screening of A.I. for us. I couldn't get nearly enough tickets for everyone who showed an interest, so if you want to go, pick them up before they sell out.
Because it was some of you that let her know I was in trouble last week, we both wanted to show our appreciation for all your help, and there will be something for each and every one of you to take home as a thank you from us. (And no, it won't be selling anything! You're canny that way, I know, so I thought I'd prick that thought balloon before it swelled up too large....)
Abuela says she managed to pick up a few things while she was working on the set, and she wanted to give them out as presents, too. Won't tell me how, though
Below this is the map in which to get your early tickets. Wonder what the "thank you" gift is? Hmmmmmmm -
Spielberg's return to sci-fi? Enough said.
-
Let me guess...the AIs kill off humanity and take over the world??? My prediction: the movie will do well, but Harry Potter will clober it.
Why do I feel that this is another Phantom Meance? In-your-face special effects, some preachy-social commentary and a cliched ending.
I've read the reviews on the Drudge Report. The movies seems to be "polarizing" the reviewers.
...That's not a good sign.
The movie will make money though. The mark of Spielberg is like a Midas touch. -
Hey, for all you people who have seen the preview. DO you have any idea who is the artist that did the music? I found it to be incredible, they reminded me of this other band I have. The music in the preview seriouly blew me away, almost made me want to go see the movie. I think I'll buy the CD instead.
