Promotion Poster For ICE AGE
Hey folks, Harry here with a look at the Fox licensing poster for ICE AGE! Once again we have news coming in from New York... specifically this time from Tetsuo. Tetsuo is a helluva partier, on that World Premiere night at AKIRA, Tetsuo was a Bacchian god in red leather! Astounding the amount of grapes he put down and the pile of pits spat into the corner of that arcade! But here he is, recovered and fresh sending us this, our first look at the Promotional style of ICE AGE....

I don't know anything about this movie, but that poster is crap. It looks like a kid made it in photoshop. I've seen more interesting things in my toilet.

This looks fake to me, even Fox has to realize that this kind of cartoony look is no way to promote a CGI movie

That is, Fox probably rushed this out to raise awareness of "Ice Age" between the freak-success of Shrek and the inevitable blockbuster Monsters, Inc. Good idea. I actually like the poster a lot, though the posted image is low detail. Blue Sky is known for absolute top quality work. I just hope Fox steps out of the way to let them make the movie...

Seems to me that Fox is quietly killing off this project. The poster is a very lazy, amateurish design and from the pics I've seen so far, the animation is mediocre and crude. Looks like CGI animation circa 1995. My guess is that after the failure of "Titan AE" they wanted to pull the plug on the project but having already spent a lot of money, instead downscaled it. Expect it to have a limited, unsuccessful run in theatres and then resurface in home video.

Wow, mastronikolas! You can tell all that from a bad promo poster and some screen shots? I assume with a talent like that you work for one of the bigger production companies.

Blue Sky are the guys responsible for the CGI Alien in Alien ressurrection, the 3d penguin in Fight Club, and they won the Oscar for best animated short film for BUNNY...
oh they also did the animated cockroaches in Joes Apartment...

Seriously are they going retro or are they just lazy? This seriously looks like one of those cult animated series from the 60s like Speed Racer, Clutch Cargo, Johnny Quest or some such. They can do better. I hope this is preliminary.
