James Marsters Is Guest-Starring On ...

… “Andromeda”!!

Huh?

I am – Hercules!!

Don’t worry. Marsters was at UPN’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” upfront presentation in mid-May, so it seems safe to assume he’ll be back to play Spike on “Buffy” as a regular next season. But “Buffy’s” sixth year has yet to begin shooting, and “Andromeda” is shooting Marsters’ episode this week, even though it won’t air until November sweeps.

Marsters is playing the Nietzschean archduke Charlemagne Bolivar, a decadent, foppish yet formidably intelligent and deadly nobleman (we’re told you should think Tim Roth's character in Rob Roy).

In other big “Andromeda” guest-star news:

William B. Davis, a.k.a. "Cancer Man" from the “X-Files,” will play a scientist obsessed with ripping the veil of secrecy from purple cutie Trance Gemini and her mysterious race.

Bruce Harwood, top-billed nerd from “The Lone Gunmen,” will turn up as a nerdy defense contractor protected by Rommie.

“First Wave's” Roger Cross is in Harwood’s episode as the government agent tracking them down.

There are still season-two plans to bring on Kevin Sorbo's old “Hercules” buddies, Bruce Campbell and Michael Hurst, but those plans are awaiting clear schedules and worthy roles.

I am – Hercules!!
