James Marsters Is Guest-Starring On ...
… “Andromeda”!!
Huh?
Don’t worry. Marsters was at UPN’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” upfront presentation in mid-May, so it seems safe to assume he’ll be back to play Spike on “Buffy” as a regular next season. But “Buffy’s” sixth year has yet to begin shooting, and “Andromeda” is shooting Marsters’ episode this week, even though it won’t air until November sweeps.
Marsters is playing the Nietzschean archduke Charlemagne Bolivar, a decadent, foppish yet formidably intelligent and deadly nobleman (we’re told you should think Tim Roth's character in Rob Roy).
In other big “Andromeda” guest-star news:
William B. Davis, a.k.a. "Cancer Man" from the “X-Files,” will play a scientist obsessed with ripping the veil of secrecy from purple cutie Trance Gemini and her mysterious race.
Bruce Harwood, top-billed nerd from “The Lone Gunmen,” will turn up as a nerdy defense contractor protected by Rommie.
“First Wave's” Roger Cross is in Harwood’s episode as the government agent tracking them down.
There are still season-two plans to bring on Kevin Sorbo's old “Hercules” buddies, Bruce Campbell and Michael Hurst, but those plans are awaiting clear schedules and worthy roles.

will Marsters be putting on the British Accent?
-
Hee hee ... Spike as Tim Roth ... *user giggles hysterically* Well, here's hoping for the accent. Then again, accent or not, he's still adorable. *wg*

where she flies around in her own lesbian ship? ahhh Herc in space...if Yolus (sp???) is there so the hell am I... Justice served with a fist...I just hope Spike doesn't become the syndicated tim rothlike villain...
-
... who the Nietzchian woman married? Y'know, the one who united the two Prides after years of bloodshed and war so they could be as large as the Drago-Katsoff Pride? The one who the Andromeda escorted, Tyr made a pass at, and the one who jumped the captain? As you can see... I watch the show too much if I remember this... <sigh>...
-
who gives a shit? TV is getting progressively worse, and tired genre drivel like Andromeda isn't helping matters much.
-
I sent Herc some news about Kevin Smith guesting on DEGRASSI: The Next Generation.... which doesn't get mentioned here... but this less important guesting DOES get a mention? C'mon!
-
Marsters, Campbell and Davis. IMPRESSIVE. I just might have to tune into ANdromeda next season. I hope the writing improves.
-
i hope james marsters and kevin sorbo don't do a slow motion zero gravity kung fu fight. that was the worst fight scene i've ever watched. honestly, who likes this show? it makes voyager seem slightly interesting.
-
Yeah, they got some people I would like to see on the screen more, but it sure as hell ain't going to get me to hunt down this show and attempt to watch it. I caught one ep, and I figured I have a line on them all, so I don't plan on seeing anymore. Maybe I'll get lucky when I get sick, my computer is on the fritz and my VCR is broken, and the eps with Campbell and Marsters will happen to be on while I'm channel surfing. About the only way I'll catch it.

My god, Andromeda sucks. Unoriginal critque but highly accurate. It suckidy sucks sucks sucks. And it's better than Earth: Final Conflict, so how bad does THAT show have to be? UGH. Farscape. Now there's a Sci-Fi show to get excited about. I think USA network is even running it at times now. although I'm not sure. While I enjoy Marsters work on Buffy, I sure as hell aint watching Andromeda. But man, how much would he rock on Farscape? The mind boggles, although I guess a ticket to Australia is too much...

Actually Herc, I think it's the SEVENTH season of Buffy that is
by Darkwing Duck
I believe the sixth season was shot ahead of schedule in anticipation of the possible writers/actors strike. Besides, you know how far ahead-of-storyline Joss Whedon likes to be.

Yeah, I guess you heard it here first. FX is going to rerun Buffy this summer. You may now resume your activities (i.e., playing video games; arguing whose better, Kirk or Picard; or who should play Daredevil in the big screen release)
-
Those Buffy reruns will start on FX in the Fall. Reruns will continue on the WB this summer -- Wednesday's at 9:00PM. What a scoop!
-
James got a saturn award for best supporting actor for buffy. That was nice now if he could get an emmy nomination-I know he wouldn't win but a nomination would be good. I don't like the fact that the buffy shows on fx will be chopped up,but since I didn't get to see the first three seasons for lack of a wb network, I'll take what I can get.
