Why is it that the two android people in this picture have kind of a mannequin/plasticine look to them (which makes it clear they're not really human) and Haley Joel Osment's character looks totally human?
Are these two part of the first wave of A.I.'s that were made and Haley Joel Osment is some kind of a new super advanced prototype?

Those half complete/wrecked robots in the second picture look totally cool! This pic seems to indicate that the film will be set in some kind of post-apocalyptic/ Blade-Runner kind of world...

Apparently some people at the MIT screening were a good deal less than impressed by what they saw. I still have very high hopes for this. 'The Mummy Returns' was a ridiculously overpriced headache, and I expect the same from 'Pearl Harbour' and 'Jurassic Park 3'. Spielberg's got talent though, and Kubrick was not in the business of formulaic stupidity. I'm expecting something really special here. In other, extremely cool news, has anyone heard anything about 'Apocalypse Redux', the re-edit of 'Apocalypse Now' coming out this summer? Michael Ondaatje spoke with Walter Murch about it. It sounds fascinating, and will include over an hour of never seen footage. If 'A.I.' doesn't make history, then this most certainly will.
