Jada Pinkett's character look for MATRIX 2!!! Picture
Hey folks, Harry here... Ol Tracy Mack sent in this shot of Jada Pinkett's stunt double leaving a trailer for filming on MATRIX 2 or 3.... So let's see.... this means we need some shots of Morpheus and Neo and we'll have a good set in the making given the past scoops... But the scariest thing about this scoop is Jada... Her acting in BAMBOOZLED was amongst some of the worst work I've seen in quite some time... of course that character suddenly went on a turn and emotional journey that seemed about as realistic as the Scorpion King at the end of MUMMY RETURNS... Let's hope the Wachowski's use the same magic on her that they used on Keanu.... BTW, watching BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE at the Drafthouse this weekend was so incredibly sweet! I miss this Keanu!

It's a little too punk-rock dontcha think?

god you lot are so sad. the matrix was fucking shit, it had some of the worst acting in anyway so im sure jada pinkett wont make it any worse. larry fishbourne and that cunt with the shades who was supposed to be evil but just seemed like a tosser were more wooden than pinochios cock anyway. and i think its pathetic how all you dicks get excited about photos of fucking stunt doubles. like i said the last time there was an "amazing" scoop of photos of volvo car doors and stunt doubles - the matrix is boring, all it had going for it was its special effects which have been robbed by upteen films such as deuce bigalow, scary movie, romeo must die exit wounds etc etc so its hardly even up there with the cream of the crop is it. it wasnt even an everage film it was shit, i ready to walk out by the time that reeves mouth sealed up. give me fucking transformers the movie any day of the week.
-
Oh my god! Did Harry just give away the ending of the mummy returns! Dammit, I sure hope not.
-
The Matrix was as cold as ice. Can't wait for the sequel.

...what about Tarantino at Cannes?????

...is Salma Hayek showing lots of skin.

Jada Puke'inSmith is a casting BIG MISTAKE.....it's still not to
by mooncake
i still can't figure out why on earth was JadaPuke'inSmith casted in the first place? she hasn't done worthy film in her entire film career, some of you will undoubtly rebuke me with 'set it off' but i'm sorry that was a cheap low budget black film that wasn't any special at all. no one outside of the USA even know's her or cares about her! will she draw any people to the matrix? can she do action?? is she a good actress??? whoever does the casting should be given the booty in the *ss!

Why not stick J-Lo in it for added measure since the W. brothers
by brooklyn bred
Again I ask why wasn't the sexy Angela Basset asked to played Fishburne's love interest? The two of the dripped with chemistry in Boys in the Hood and What's Love Got To Do with it. Then again I'm still amazed that she wasn't pegged as the obvious choice to play Storm. Halle was the worst! But in all fairness to Miss Berry, I think Jada will suck worse in this.
-
I thought Jada was perfectly fine in "Bamboozled." It was Spike's script that failed her character at the end, having her attitudes and memory of her own actions fall by the wayside.
-
I don't know why I should bother to write this, because I'm sure Jada is too busy counting her money to read this site -- but I gotta say, Moriarty and Harry were thrown off by that gun-toting stereotypical black-chick freakout at the end of Bamboozled, and for some reason they can't see that Jada was JUST FINE in Bamboozled. I totally believed her in the great scene with her scary brother the rapper, and I like the way she handled herself as ManTan took off -- incredulous and offended, but ambitious enough to go down with the ship. I was shocked when Jada rolled up on Damon with a piece, but the movie didn't take some flying leap for me at that point like it did for so many critics. As to how an actress is supposed to act at that point, well, she did fine, it's not too different from the freakout scene in every detective show of the 70's when the crazy chick is about to jump off the roof on angel dust. *** As to the Matrix, I didn't even realize there were actors in that thing. Coulda been all computer-generated for all I know.

It is obvious who is and who isn't welcome in Hollywood. It isn't often when I post in a talkback, mainly because I see it as taking water to the ocean. Only when I am amazed by such stupifying commentary am I goaded to speak, and this is such a case.
In my travels in Hollywood, as well as just trying to be an independent filmmaker, natch a BLACK independent filmmaker, I have noticed that there is a stark difference in the light that White actors and actors of color are treated.
All this talk about whether or not Jada Pinkett-Smith can act, or if she is even worthy to have a role in any of your "geek fantasy" films is reprehensible at best, outright prejudice at worst. I once heard someone say that if it were possible, they'd use blackface again, just so that "black attitude" doesn't seep it's way into a film where it wasn't already wanted for it's comedic value.
Regardless of what many of you want to believe, The Matrix films are not, and were never meant to be art house classics, and if you think they are, then maybe, just maybe, you need to think sometimes.
What is this animus that you have against young, ethinc actresses? "They can't act.." you say? And of course most of you are master thespians, and know acting when you see it, right? Is Angela Bassett the only accepted Black actress in Hollywood right now? I love Angela, but she is not right for every role. Whenever a there is a role for a Black Actress, all I ever hear is "Angela Bassett". Ridiculous, and I believe she'd say the same thing.
Black actors as well as actresses are treated like shit in the Hollywood community, save for a few others, and even they cannot get all the roles that they'd like. If a Shannon Elizabeth was added to the Matrix cast, you can guarantee that not as much bellyaching would be around, and let me say that this woman will always be known for her breasts as opposed to any actual acting ability, but then I guess it comes down to who the fanboys and self-professed geeks can masturbate to better.
Some of you just know so much about films, more than I could ever fuckin' know, but none of you know to give actors of color their proper respect, and that is only an example of the pure, unabashed, rampant racism that is an unspoken standard in the film community.
Every time I see a Black actor, I am goddamn proud to see them on screen, because I know how hard it is to get there. And no, I'm not stupid or deluded. I know that there are bad Black film projects, as well as black actors who aren't as good as they need to be, but it isn't as many as you want to promote, and personally, Jada isn't one of them. Bamboozled is a prime example of the film geek "Not getting it", and of course it is an American Standard to trash that which you do not agree with or understand.
So, before you piss yourself about Halle Berry, or Jada Pinkett-Smith, or any other hard-working actor of color, and don't get it twisted, they have to work twice as hard, for half of the noteriety, as other actors, but remember this: You cannot get rid of us, and in time we will get the goddamn respect that we deserve. -
Seeing as the Matrix is mostly eye-candy anyway, it seems a good idea to add J-lo to the cast as well. And Halle Berry. And Salma Hayek. The more the merrier.
-
I like the idea of Keanu and Jada in a film together. Hopefully they can do another - I have the best idea! He's an upper-class high school student with a shy side, and she is a street-smart n'er-do-well with a heart of gold. She can teach him to dance and slouch and use out of date slang, and he can look at her all puppy-eyed and loose his virginity to her and stuff. Spike Lee can direct and, surprisingly, have a co-starring role as the wisened mentor that delivers lines like he was in a 3rd grade Christmas Pageant.
-
if any of you have seen this movie, and have any sense of what's cool, then you know that she was one hot bad ass. and, she was great in set it off. the dumbass who called it a 'low budget black movie', is just that, a dumbass. that movie was the only female action movie i can think of in the past few years that was cool. i mean, when was the last time you got to see a female bank robber eat her girlfriend out on the hood of a cherry red convertible, after she just robbed a bank, and while drinking a forty and smoking a blunt. thelma and louise can blow me...and to harry...fuck off. jada pinkett was hardly the problem with bamboozled. her and savion glover were the only things that shitty movie had going for it. if anybody's performance sucked...it was damon wayans...who, i love...but, he was terrible...bamboozled was trying to hard to be too many things...and was missing the main thing that any satire, no matter how dark, needs...heart. where was the love at? black and white people are never just black and white...they're people first. and i saw no people in that movie. just stereotypes as metal as that stupid money bank damon wayans keeps screaming at. so, jada was hardly to blame. she is a bad ass. and, you people need to recognize it...
-
Casting Jada P is the DUMBEST move I've ever seen a director make. I've never seen a movie where she didn't bug the hell out of me. One of the worst actresses of all time. Hur hubby, on the other hand... rocks the world. HE should be in The Matrix 2!
-
the more i read these talk backs...the more i can't believe what i'm seeing...the only solid criticism any of you people have is that she's black...one guy even said 'women of color'...what the fuck does that have to do with anything? wake up people. life is short.

Before "The Matrix" became a breakout hit, was anyone drawn to it for the casting? Hell no. Keanu Reeves is considered the Antichrist by many, Carrie-Anne Moss' had "Models Inc." and "F/X: The Series" to her name, and Joe Pantoliano had a loooong history of b-grade movies and worse. And yet they were *all* cool in the movie, even Keanu. Credit a fun script from the Wachowski brothers along with the film's very slick visuals. Like the "Star Wars" films, "The Matrix" does not revolve around memorable acting. The characters must be likeable, but not necessarily deep. These are series about big ideas, cool lines, atmosphere, and sometimes, just sometimes, the power of myth. Even notable actors like Laurence Fishburne are subsumed by the film's atmosphere and style. So how can I put this delicately? Shut the hell up about the casting. Short of Tom Green, I expect the Wachowskis could turn any actor into a cool character for the series. Personally, I've never seen Jada Pinkett in anything, but she can't be less appealing than Tom Green.

Matrix will become the best loved trilogy of films, debunking starwars and Indy as the most loved and biggest fan-based!!! IMHO Starwars Episode 5 and 6 are very over rated (especially jedi!!!) And matrix won't be tarnished with a dire set blatant toy ads like TPM!!!!!!!!!
THE MATRIX HAS YOU!!!!!! -

STAR WARS IS OVER RATED...ACCEPT IT!!

What is the Matrix? A metaphore of the world, of our society. We're nothing but the batteries that keep the world moving (like a toy rabbit). We're all slaves (only most didn't notice). Who can sees that this western civilization with MTV, credit cards, movies, Christina Aguilera and many more is just a lie? That everything we have in the western world is nothing but fake? That our lives are meaningless? Those who have seen THE OTHER SIDE. Have you ever been in a refugee camp? Have you ever look into a starving child's eyes? I did. Western World is the matrix. So, please, don't ever said this movie is empty and dumb entertaiment. P.D.: Did you realize that this movie's heroes are nothing but terrorists? Killing innocent people without really caring, without the shadow of a doubt? This movie puts you into a terrorist's mind. Scary, isn't it?
-
Yeah, I agree with you that Star Wars are overrated. But Episodes 4,5 and 6 are highly entertaining (Episode I was a huge piece of shit, and it wasn't only Jar Jar's fault). SW, ESB and ROTJ are three very good films, ESB being the best, ROTJ the most funny and SW got in between those extremes. BUT... Episode I was a mixture: there were plenty of references (copies) of (at least) Waterworld, Ben Hur, Seven Chances, Batman, a Harold Lloyd flick, Braveheart and SW trilogy! Every scene has been stolen from another movie, and what is worse, the movie didn't get together at all. The only funny thing in the movie was Pernilla August saying Anakin has no father (so Anakin is Christ, isn't it?). I'm no Christian, but I still ask myself how George Lucas put/kept that line on the script.

It doesn't matter if she is black its that she can't act. But the same can be said for the casts of most sci-fi movies (matrix included). But what i don't like is adding new characters that will screw up the movie

AMEN! I could not agree with you more. Most of these talkbackers(like most of white America)dont even realize how racist they really are. It it a sad testament that these people do not, can not, and will not understand our plight.
Peace... -
Joel Silver is raping the Matrix and forcing the Wachowskis to watch. All we're going to get is a sub-standard Romeo Must Die style piece of shit. I loved the original and thought there were plenty of interesting areas that the sequel could go but what with Silver bringing on third rate R&B singers because he somehow thinks he owes them some sort of favour or something pisses me off. 'Free-Your-Wallets' and get me another drink!
-
amen brother! wait, i'm white, can i say brother? anyway, i have to agree. i'd say there's less respect in general given to black actors/actresses in the talkback section of this site. But I lay blame with some of you directors & producers as well. I mean give us some great characters to sink our teeth into, cast a talented black actor or actress & watch us rave about them! Denzel, Don Cheadle, Morgan Freeman, Ving Rhames, Morris Chestnut, Cuba Gooding, Lawrence Fishburne, Samuel Jackson, Andre Braugher, Delroy Lindo, Sidney Poitier, James Earl Jones, Wesley Snipes, Will Smith--(oops, just wanted to make sure you were paying attention)....even Ice Cube has done some half-decent stuff. Maybe the problem lies with females....not a ton out there to pick from... Cast a hot babe in a sci-fi robot costume & we'll flock to it. Just ask Harry! I'm not a big fan of comedies lately, so I won't comment on the Chris Tucker/Martin Lawrence/Chris Rock/Will Smith stuff, but then again, I can't stand this Adam Sandler/Rob Schneider/David Spade drek either, so there ya go... I'll hold off on Jada Pinkett until I see the flick. Also, you're wrong, Angela Bassett SHOULD be cast in every single female role written, white, black, hispanic, whatever. Hehe...
-
and everybody gets blown away seems like spike ran out of ideas and jada's acting did go down the toilet in the last reel of the film i met her in person years ago but she has a big hollywood head now
-
PORKMAN DONT YOU EVEN START THIS GAY ASS SHIT HEAD ARGUMENT!!!!dont even start with the damn Matrix vs Star Wars shit again. Goddamnit its a waste of your time to even start to Matrix is better that Star Wars argument. Many lives have been lost in this argument so please dont start. ITS A WASTE OF TALKBACK SPACE AND A WASTE OF EVERYONES TIME.
-
You guys are really disappointing me today. But then, why is today different than any other day. All you sad fucks that are trying to mask your bigotry should just come out and say what you want to say. You would get more respect for being honest. And all you people that are trying to make "funny" "inside" "hinting" black "jokes" should realize that you just look like a bunch of bigots. The race issue is not a joke. In hollywood of anywhere else. Now, whoever suggested that Angela Basset would be perfect. I totally agree. The last time I saw here on a talkshow she was still all buffed and bad ass looking.
-
I will make one more comment upon this, because I see that there are still some questions as to the validity of black actors, and/or the movies that they are in...
As far as Bamboozled goes, what happened at the end was basically a manifestation of the anger that all black actors/directors/producers have felt at one time or another...
If you look at this final scene in the literal sense, of course it will look ridiculous in the end...It's almost an updated version of Mookie throwing the trash can in Sal's window...
But if you don't understand the meaning, then the execution will fall flat for you...
As it has been for most to all Blacks and Hispanics in Hollywood, they can only act as far as the material takes them. Like my white "brother" said a few posts up, for every "bad" black performance you can list, there is a white one that is just as bad. And you have to remember this: most of the black roles you see on screen these days are written by White writers, so where doth the blame truly lie? I suppose that if Peter Jackson had a Black Aragorn, or if newcomer Rob Brown (Finding Forrester) were cast as Frodo Baggins, Harry and the rest of the uber-geeks would be shitting golden bricks...We don't get the respect. Oh, and for the poster who said something about "3rd rate r/b singers"...Who would you be referring to? Aaliyah? Well for one, she is excellent, and two, why is it such a stretch for BLACK MUSICIANS to act where white musicians are lauded for it, even when their acting skills are for shit (re:Madonna)? Answer that for me please!!!!! -
why do so many people hate the ending of Bamboozled so much? Jada was good in that movie and
her character just went off! Jada played it just right, as somebody flipping out! she had just lost her no-good-thug brother AND her boyfriend in the most public, fucked-up ways possible, and she blamed it all on one motherfucker: DE LA! His political statement didn't work out the way he planned -- that's an understatement. Here's proof that Bamboozled was a great film: we're all still talking about it. I loved that movie. Damon was beyond great. You hear his accent and it makes you wince, but then you realize how hard he is Frontin'. Damon worked his ass off as De La. ** Oh, and while I'm at it, Halle Berry was excellent in X-Men. That dumbass white wig looked as good on her as it was going to look on anybody, and her accent didn't bother me. It was just as good as Storm's accent on the Fox cartoon. I bring it up now because she's another black actress who got criticized universally by most of geekdom. -
She just wasn't given anything to do and most of her lines were weak. Tough break in an ensemble flick, but it looks like her role will be expanding for the second film if rumors are true. Which is good. She got the accent down right as well as the strength and vulnerability that attracted me to the character from the beginning. All those people complaining probably didn't bother to read the early issues of X-Men. She was raised in Africa, as a goddess nonetheless, hence her stilted english. Storm was my favorite female comic book character growing up: exotic, powerful and free-spirited. Too bad they couldn't have done a version closer to the original costume -- Berry's got a beautiful body and they really didn't maximize that if you ask me. As much as I like Angela Bassett, I'm glad they went with a younger version of Storm. Bassett is more along the lines of the Storm that emerged during the 80s.
-
Madonna lauded for her performances?! That's about as informed as saying Aaliyah can act! WB cast her so they can pull in that WB demographic, nothing else. She's beautiful and she can sure sing/dance, but I've seen rotting meat give a better performance. The only thing keeping you down Dirty Rat Bastard, is that giant chip on your shoulder. Could it be the reason you're not being cast as often as you'd like to be is dut to a lack of talent?
-
...considering she had about as little screentime as poor Cyclops. Basically they were supporting players, with each given only a moment or two to shine. Cyclops got the memorable "stay way from my girl" confrontation with Wolverine while Storm had a nice emotive moment with the dying Senator Kelly. The only stumbling block for Storm was her *single* ridiculous line about toads and lightning. Maybe they'll edit it out when the rumored two-disc DVD emerges in the future. Anyway, pin that one on the writers, not Halle Berry. I for one am looking forward to Berry getting some stronger material in the sequel. I think she'll surprise everyone. I'm also looking forward to seeing her in a tight leather costume again, but like the old wizard said at the end of "Conan the Barbarian", "That...is another story." As for the tired argument about Bassett playing Storm, get this through your thick mother-f'ing heads people - ANGELA BASSETT IS IN HER 40's!!! She would've been fantastic had "X-Men" been filmed A DECADE AGO, but not anymore! Amazing actress, still has her looks, but she's_just_too_old to launch a potential franchise. Even Famke's pushing the envelope a bit (mid-30's), but that's alright - her character will get croaked inside a sequel or two =)

Sweet! I had the first post to go out of order in this Talkback!
by dave_f
Harry, no offense...I love the site, think you're cool, etc., etc., but can you PLEASE FIX IT SO THE GOD-DAMNED TALKBACKS GO IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER!!! Even the runtiest sites manage to do this. It should be embarassing that one of the biggest can't. Hey, since the site's been undergoing some technical renovations lately, howsabout adding the Talkback screw-ups to the "to do" list? We need order here so we can yell at each other properly and without repetition. Thanks.

She's black? Sorry - didn't notice. Whats the difference? She's just some mid-20's girl in a tight suit, right? I mean, if she grew wings and a tail I'd be like 'whoah' but she's just another one of the 6 billion humans on the planet.... Thats right, 6.1 billion - not just the population of the USA.
Lookin in from outside its amazing - You American's have got such a huge race issue going on... its actually scarey to get these minor insights into your collective consciousness sometimes.
Just chill and watch the friggin' movie - I can't wait to see what eye-candy the Bros. dish up next!
Every actor can do well, or be made to do well, and every actor can do crap work. Sean Connery was practically a hippy before the producers taught him to tone down the scottish accent and wear a suit.
I'm sure that as soon as she starts flying all over the screen, doing ninja kicks, dodging bullets and shit you'll be all like "wow, what a cool, ninja kickin, flyin', bullet dodging type babe, dude..."
Personally, I'd like to see an interesting story, well constructed and well executed. I couldn't give two hoots who is in the movie as long as it holds together and doesn't drag in too many more old 1940-50's sci-fi novel storylines....
BE ORIGINAL, or don't bother. Forget the skin colour- it means nothing - watch the movie! -
As you might see from some of this tb most of the white motherfuckers could give a shit about 'black cinema'. The steroetypes are continued on film, as you said, by the producers, but it is marketed to a black audience. And if you look at the profits some of these flicks make, or go down to the theater and watch the reactions of a black audience to the action on the screen is clear that blacks perpetuate the sterotypes just as much as whites do. Still don't believe me, go down to your local high school.
-
Allright! Jada Pinkett Smith is gonna be in the Matrix Sequel!
YEESHH!!! Morpheus' gettin laid!!!
Maybe this means we can get a Will Smith regurgitated Stevie Wonder sampled rap song on the soundtrack as well? YEESHHHH! Can i recommend
"Boogie On Reggae Neo"?
Ribbit!

We're in the 21st Century now, you'd think mainstreem Hollywood would be a lot more open minded to colour. I still see token minority characters and stereotypes in most movies. The Wachowski's are cool because they disregard racial sterotypes and allow central characters to be played by coloured actors.
-
and get her out of the film. this is the first indication of suck factor, but hey, maybe she will be blown away, blah, this sucks
-
Most of you guys have no clue on how great an actress Jada is. I watched most Jada films and seen her do theater and tv shows(A Differnt World) She is very versatile and can play soft hearted with great emotion(Jason's lyric), To hardcore(Set It Off), To Kick ass action chick(Tails From The Crypt, Lo Down Dirty Shame).
I remember when everyone was saying how The Matrix was going to flop because of the first cast(keanu, Lawrance, etc.) and now everyone and their mothers are eating there words. IMHO I think Jada Has Matrix written all over her and once she unleashes her kick butt charm on Matrix you guys will be buying her action figues by the boxes.
As for Alya (how ever u spell it) I really don't know anything about her acting. I will just have to wait and see. I must admit I don't see her fitting in but who am I to say what fits in. The W. Brothers know what they are doing so I will give them the benefit of the doubt I think you should also.
CriPPleR -
Hope you can actualy find this in this fucked up tb (Come on webgods get your damn act in order). I'm with you on that last post. In the end, not everyone is a Tupac or a Chris Rock (or in the search for parity- a Rush), able to say whatever the hell they want and still be loved by all. Most of the people consuming the products of the entertainment industry want to have their stereotypes confirmed rather than challenged; those who wish to perform in that industry are required to conform to survive. A sad reflection of humankind, but most are. All right enough doom and gloom from me. Yes I was indeed in a flame war with Mr. Glass for a time, but he stopped posting often enough for us to continue it and frankly I can't even remember what it was about anymore. Probably for the best really, I've been coming here for just over a year now and this is already my fourth user ID. Which reminds me, Mali-Ocean has returned to the site as well, I can start telling him to die of the screaming shits again! (banned once for that already!)
-
"Ethnic" actresses are in films like B.A.P.S. and Booty Call, and you complain when they're not taken seriously as actors?
the difference between Shannon Elizabeth and Jada Pinkett being in a movie is, while they are both poor actors, as evident in their "performances," Shannon is actually somewhat attractive and able to draw viewers. Whereas Jada is not.
-
I remember when I heard there was a new Sci-Fi Flick coming out, and then I heard Keanu Reeves was in it. I was like....Awww man.... But look at the Matrix, he ended up doing, what I consider to be a great job with the Neo character in the Matrix.
In other words, give Jada a chance, she could pull it off...Nicely at that. -
Alright. Black actor's and actresses are very rare in hollywood. Why? Some of them can't act. And..... Casting director's completly mark them off the list because their African American. No other reason than that. What need's to be understood about black actor's is that they take the role's that are OFFERED to them. Not very many black actor's are given the chance to shine so when the opportunity arrive's, they take it. 2ndly, there aren't very many black film maker's out there either. Some black film maker's keep creating the same tired out drama about ghetto life. Other's chose to take another rode elsewhere; the journey less traveled by the black man. Or the black woman. Black people aren't given the time of day in Hollywood simply because they are black. So I understand their pain. However, I myself am also black; a black woman that is and I REFUSE to let anything stop me from accomplishing my dream of stardom from acting in movies! Not only can I act, sing, write songs, movie's, design clothe's, houses, building's, model but I'm also an artist. I paint and draw from time to time. I am a very talented black actress and will show EVERYBODY that black's can be as good as ANYBODY else. I don't care what hollywood think's; I'm fabulous right now as we speak! I'm wonderful and aspiring right now as we speak. The job I have now is a DSP: Direct Support Personnel for the handicapp. And I love my job very much. It's wonderful and all that jazz. But I have to go, otherwise I'd finish (my mom's kicking me off)!
Love, Sheree -
...is somewhat annoying but she's perfectly competent as an actress. BAMBOOZLED was an unevenly scripted film and aside from the weird ending, she was just fine playing Sloan.
I too would have loved to see Angela Bassett as the love interest (yes she's 40 but so what? Keanu is nearly 40 and Joey Pants and Larry Fish aren't exactly dancing backup for Britney Spears.) -
Anyways, who in their right goddamn mind would want to see a black Aragorn?! I know you weren't serious, but maybe if Aragorn or Frodo WAS black then we wouldn't have such a problem. And all this crap about "ethnic minorities" being treated "like shit" in Hollywood, why don't you guys stop bickering? What are you going to accomplish whining about your subjigation on AICN's Talkback (which dosn't really work anyways...)? I personally think Jada is NOT a good casting choice for the Matrix 2. It's not because she is black, or not that Basset chick, it's because she doesn't feel right for the movie. That's it! I think that Lawrence Fishburn, Samuel L. Jackson among other black actors are great and the colour of their skin doesn't bother me. Oh and btw, Jennifer Lopez is a mediocre actress who's only enjoying her tenure in American power thanks to her big fat ass.
