OSMOSIS JONES trailer is up!
Hey folks, Harry here with a link to the OSMOSIS JONES trailer which is... Ok, I suppose. The animated world looks kinda cool, but the live action stuff looks lame and uncool... It might be because the good stuff is just not available on the trailer because of trying to appease everyone.... or maybe it is this lame... we'll see. Till then, here's the trailer...
Harry I just noticed that the trailer for Osmosis Jones is on-line at:
GET ME BABY! CLICK ME HARD AND OFTEN! OH YEAH, JUST LIKE THAT!
It looks better than I had expected but I'm still reserving my judgment.

Trailer is ok, not out of this world as i expected

I certainly hope Bill Murry isn't in a total crap movie.

I debated for a moment whether or not to title my post "First" and sure enough, it cost me the top spot. christ this trailer is too big to wait for on a dail up... if you're like me try http://www.osmosisjones.com/cmp/trailer_lo.html or http://www.osmosisjones.com/cmp/trailer_med.html

Did you notice that they listed Jeanine Salla as "Assistant Germ Technician" in the credits?!?!?!
-
I can sorta understand why Warners doesn't want to promote this so much. It goes along the same wavelength as that movie Bill did with the elephant. How many people saw that?
-
Of course the trailer is kiddiefied. That's because the fucks at WB don't know any other way to promote an animated movie. Oh, and better luck next time, Planet Zac. As we all know, successful "First" posters get a blow job from Pamela Anderson, plus a generous cash-prize. Too bad for you, though. I guess you'll just have to settle for being mortal like the rest of us. Only GODS can post "First" correctly! Everyone knows that! Why else would they give a shit?

WB Animation Deserves Better Than The Idiots Running The Place.
by prankster
WB wants Osmosis Jones to fail. WB kickstarted their animation division, not because they believed in the company's legacy of outstanding animation, but because it looked like it was a liscence to print money after The Lion King. Of course, a jillion dollars and one committee-produced stinkbomb (Quest for Camelot) later, they realized that animation was not a get-rich-quick proposition. They had a couple of features on the drawing board, but now the animation department was a white elephant. So they completely ignored "The Iron Giant" despite the fact that it was a great film. Now they're just going through the motions. WB animation will shut down if Osmosis Jones isn't a hit, and the management wants this because they don't want to bother anymore. They're like a horrible mother who got knocked up and doesn't want to look after their kid. They seemed almost annoyed that "Iron Giant" was a moderate success. The only thing that will save WB animation is if Osmosis Jones is a huge hit. Not a word-of-mouth, middling success, a cult hit, or something that takes off on video. WB's attitude is that if it doesn't rake in the dough immediately, it's not worth the effort. Running an animation department requires guts and vision, and WB execs have neither. Katzenberg and Michael Eisner may pander to committee thinking, but at least they believe in their own animation units. Well, maybe not, since Eisner just slashed the animation division, despite the fact that it's shown a consistant profit.

At first it was kind of clever and even funny, correlating what we eat and drink with what goes on inside the body. But once the novelty wore off, the plot broke down into the worst possible "buddy-cop" formula, only animated. It looks like they mistakingly thought by making the Murray character into an Ace Ventura/Tom Green reject they could compensate for the fact that the story is tired, not even measuring up to any given episode of Batman TAS. Not to compare the two, but WB should know better having produced both. And as much as I love the man, Chris Rock sucks as an actor. Down to Earth was recycled tripe.

God damn it! You mother fuckers don't know how to appreciate anything. You cried about an X-men film for ages and you BITCH about the costumes and the casting. Then you fucking pathetic geeks get your dream movie, Spiderman and you talk shit about and how it's going to blow. The list goes on and on. I for one am syked about all these movies including Star Wars Ep.2, LOTR and most comic book movies. If you damn losers want to tell movie makers how to make movies why don't you just go to film school and become one your selves!
Now we have this Osmosis Jones TEASER trailer up and what do you do? Bitch that's what! I found nothing wrong with it. I thought Bill Murry was pretty funny and the animation look great. What else do you want? You complain that it's to kiddie like, but hello, isn't it a fucking kid's movie anyways? Do you actually think that movie companies make cartoons for adults. Are you stupid? What do you think this is, JAPAN? Wake the fuck up, nothing is perfect. Appreciate these films and their film makers, if it wasn't for the Geore Lucas's and Sam Raimi's of the world you geeks would have shit... absolutley nothing to look forward too! -
i don't know, i thought it looked pretty cool. kinda funny. i'll go see it.

Dreamworks has basically put all other projects on hold til they find out how much money "Spirit" loses.
and how is Spirit? Beats the fuck out of me ... I work for an outsource studio and this is the first time they haven't shown us the movie in rough cut...I just keep getting sent down scenes of horses and have no clue what the scene has to do with the movie...they flat out don't care and probably have little faith in the flick themselves. -
I was actually into it except for the Bob moments. I mean who'd in their right mind eat a boiled egg after a monkey dropped it?
-
But the live action doesn't look that great. And what's up with the narrator in the trailer? "He's one 'cell' of a guy"...please. Warner once had the greatest Cartoons on the earth and now they have no idea how to market them to the public. Here's to hoping this turns out okay...
-
I can't see this doing well, and the pity of it is, this is WB's last shot at bigscreen animation under the current regime. On the other hand, it'll save us the pain of "Space Jam 2"....
-
What the hell is Chris Rock doing the voice for?! Can't I see decent movie without seeing him and his loudmouth somewhere nearby. If it isn't in the trailer, it's the movie. Somebody put his scrawny ass back under the rock he came from! Don't they make muzzles for human's. Somebody, PLEASE, give him one
