Published at:  Apr 30, 2001 2:24:00 AM CDT

Hey folks, Harry here and hubba hubba hubba... Monica Bellucci is hot as can be, but what will she be doing in the MATRIX sequels? Will she be a hot evil agent? Will she be livin in Xion? Will she be a coppertop plugged in? Will she be the new lady in red? Inquiring minds like mine wanna know! Here ya go...

The latest issue of the UK edition of In Style magazine has a
feature/interview with Italian actress Monica Bellucci in which it is
revealed that the actress is, and I quote, "preparing for a role in The
Matrix sequel".

    Old News

    by lethal waffle

This has been said weeks ago already... even on AICN... so what's new here ? But yes Monica Bellucci is hot... I bet the Wachowsky's saw her with guns in DOBERMANN and that's why she'll be in the MATRIX sequels...

    It won't help

    by glynyfaron

Lovely though this girl I doubt she'll do anything to improve this franchise. The first film is starting to become the Tron of its generation, as the effects start to become more dated you notice there was never that much substance behind them. Of course, you could say the same thing for the Phantom Menace.

    What is this, 'Maxim'?

    by martinblank

Gee, a 'hot babe' that all the sexually frustrated fanboys can spank off about is going to be in 'Matrix 2'? That ain't news. Now, if a talented actress who doesn't happen to be 'Maxim' cover material were in a sci-fi movie and this site announced the casting with just as much enthusiasm, THAT would be news. *** also, what the fuck is with the new Rorschach background? what IS that supposed to be? weird.

That second photo does it for me too. The first ones not bad either. Intresting to see what her role is, in Matrix 2.

    Glynyfaron - WTF!?

    by pkd

I bet you were there to see the Matrix the day it opened. And I bet down in Harry's vaults are tons of posts by you praising it. But now, you want to be cool, so you diss it because its gotten "too popular". Man, people like you are the enemy of great cinema. You only like movies as long as they are your 'dirty little secret'. Once the plebes at the mini-mall are catting about it, then you run to the video store and get high on Hard Boiled and Blue Velvet. But seriously, why would you now turn on a film that is clearly head and shoulders above almost everything else being churned out by Hollywood these days because of a 'lack of substance'? At least the Wachowski's are trying to make something better. And their success opens doors to film makers like Darren Aronofsky to make Batman - it shows that creativity and popularity need not be exclusive. And tell me...honestly...where are you going to be on the day The Matrix 2 opens?

Instead of sending pasty white, ugly dudes after Neo they send this italian goddess with large, ample breasts, child bearing hips, flat stomach and a gorgeous face Neo can shoot his cyber-splooge upon. Mankind is doomed.

    PKD

    by glynyfaron

Actually PKD I saw it first on video which may be the reason I never understood what all the fuss was about. Why not sit down and read the screenplay and see how much the dialogue impresses you. And let's not even talk about Bound.

They will make her look ugly, if that's possible...

    by darth ranik

I liked The Matrix, I thought it was over an entertaining movie, with some good action. I also thought that the black leather gothic, heroine addictic, bleek, grey and washed out color of everything in the Matrix world, was cliche and overdone. I am getting a bit tired of the post apocolyptic look of a lot of films nowdays. They got this hot new super model Italian babe, and they will probably put white out makeup on her so it looks like she hasn't seen the sun in a hundred years, they'll put some black mascara around her eyes to make her look like a heroine addict, and dress her in some bleak looking black goth outfit. She'll look like shit. The movie will probably still be ok, but just ok. I realy am getting tired of apocolypse movies, they are all so much the same. And what the hell did everyone go so balistic over bullet time sfx for, they were doing that shit in Subaru commercials a year before the Matrix hit the screen, and that shit beat out EP 1 sfx for the oscar, for christ sake. EP 1 sucked as a movie and as a story but the pod race sfx alone should have won it for ILM guys. Oh well, George shouldn't have pissed on the Hollywood establishment in the press and his employees would be getting some peer recognition.

Doesn't anyone care about what's gonna happen to Carrie-Anne Mos

    by _@_trinity_@_

Is she going to replace CAM? Will Trinity's role be reduced? I like Trinity, she has this sad, lonely look in her eyes and I want to see what will happen next to her without having some chick put her aside just because she is better looking (so YOU say).
And by the way I knew about this at least three months ago.
