Man of a Half Dozen Faces Dishes More MIB2 Spoilers!

Published at:  Apr 24, 2001 3:50:12 AM CDT

Hey folks, Harry here... The Man of a Half Dozen Faces has read your doubts and moves to alleviate them.... So... For those of you wanting more spoilers... Continue to read.... HOWEVER, Only continue to read if you like reading spoilers... Otherwise, MOVE AWAY QUICKLY AND QUIETLY TO THE PREVIOUS PAGE!!! Thank you, you may continue now...

i guess some people wanted a bit more info on stuff i didn't really want to spoil. but since some are saying this is rehashed information, let me delve deeper into it. by the way, this draft WILL go thru another change because as it stands, there are 2 written endings. same endings, except one affects the life of one MIB agent a lot more than the other. and for X-Girl, in the script they are referred to as Jay, Kay, Elle, Tee, and Zed.

well, i guess that's spoiler #1, Elle does make a cameo though i have not heard anything about Linda Fiorentino being approached to return, she does have a scene. she no longer is a field agent and now works in the MIB morgue.

yes, Johnny Knoxville plays the two headed alien Scrad & Charlie. why didn't i mention him? i didn't think his character was all that interesting. he assists Serleena Xath as they take over MIB headquarters, searching for the Light of Zartha, holding Zed and Kay responsible for not delivering it 25 years ago. Also, they get other aliens to assist them, seems like MIB HQ also served as an alien holding area for those they didn't want to let out into general population.

Jeebs owns a de-neuralyzer, just not an updated version. so not all of Kay's memories come back right away, which of course, adds more tension to find this Light of Zartha before Serleena can. also, it's revealed that Kay may have been neuralyzed prior to Jay zapping him.

the worm guys are also around again. this time becoming more important in the grand scheme of things. some funny moments as they help Jay and Kay regain control of MIB HQ.

as far as Rosario Dawson, i haven't seen anything that she's locked into the role. and her name changes from Rita in the Robert Gordon draft dated 1/14/01 to Jenna. Barry Franco has done the revision of the first 78 pages. i hope he addresses the issue of Kay's wife with his future revisions. We don't even get to see her in this draft and as i said before, it just seems like he goes off to rejoin MIB without thinking twice about what will happen to her. Oh, and all postal employees are aliens.

it has a start date of 6/9/01, but we'll see if it happens because you are correct in stating "Ali" is behind schedule and that date is very close to the SAG contract expiration.

I could tell from reading their TBs. Anyway, I was hoping for a scene in which Bee used the un-neuralizatronic enemator to help Oh-pee remember that he was actually the lovechild of Bar-Nee. Maybe in MIB 3, eh?

    Great talkback!

    by ardee-el

MIB2 should start exactly where MIB ended (minus the CG "pull back"), with Jay and Elle starting a new mission -- one that brings a "de-neuralized" Kay back into the fold. Kay's wife needs to be integrated into the story, not dismissed or killed off as an unnecessary plot complication. Man, it was bad enough when Sonnenfeld killed off one potential franchise that he didn't originate (WWW), he shouldn't kill his own baby.

    Back in Black

    by blok narpin

I don't think Tommy Lee Jones should be in this movie at all. He retired at the end of the first one. He was quite HAPPY to be retiring. Remember? He said something to the effect of, "I have memories like being swallowed by a giant cockroach that I don't want anymore." He had done his time as a member of MIB and wanted out. Will Smith was his chosen succesor. He trained him and that was that. His job is done. I say make a movie about Jay and Elle. Let Kay rest. Denuralizing him?? Come on, thats a cop out. I think they should make MIB a trilogy (I am of the opinion that any more then 3 would be one too many trips to the well. The same goes for Jurassic Park, III should be the last). It would be better to bring TOmmy Lee Jones back in a third film to "bookend" the series more or less. I had hear a rumored plot months ago that would make a good third film. Kay is kidnapped by aliens who want revenge for something he did to them while he was an MIB agent and Jay and Elle have to rescue him. The joke is though that Kay has no idea what going on throughout the whole movie because his memory was wiped. Now THATS funny. Some guy just going about his business and he's kidnapped and tortured by aliens for something he doesnt even know he did. Great comedic possibilities there.

    Johnny Knoxville

    by bigdogg

I love "Jackass", but I feel that Knoxville is miscast in this movie. Like Tom Green (who only gets laughs through acting obnoxious), Johnny Knoxville is only good at one thing: hurting himself. When I watch "Jackass" I laugh when he gets hurt, and I'm afraid that this one trick of his will be exploited in this movie. He doesn't appear to have acting ability, unless taking shots to the nuts counts (and if it does, Mike Myers deserves a lifetime achievement award next Oscars). Knoxville's part in this move is a desperate act to get some publicity early and asses in the seats when it comes out, if his show is still popular.

    Famke Janssen....

    by atlantis2001

Is she in this movie? Last I heard she was in talks, but I have heard nothing since. Personally,I really hope that she is NOT in "MIB 2".I have this thing about hot woman playing villians...I don't really like it.
And Famke Janssen is very, very hot.Even more so,I'm not so excited with the idea of her playing the evil alien in this movie, seeing what Vincent D'Nofrifo looked like in the last movie.Somebody tell me what the deal is with Famke and "MIB 2" !

    NO MORE SEQUELS!!!!!!

    by dms01

I hate this sequel thing, some movies aren't ment to maded into sequels. This is one of them.

K is gone, he retired happily. leave poor guy alone.

If they have to make one, why pull alot people out their graves *so to speak* to be in a forced sequel.

    Nice job Blok

    by varakor

Hey Blok, i like the idea you mentioned for a second or third MIB, i mean how cool is that, where Kay is kidnapped and tortured by aliens and he's oblivious to the fact that he was even MIB??? There is so many ways that could go, so many laugh possibilities.
But to add my two cents to the TB, i think not having "L" "J's" second, is completely and utterly ridiculous. I loved her char in the first movie. She had this whole, dark, sexy, air about her, that can be further developed in the second film. She needs more than a cameo. But i hope the "rumor" of tommy lee wanting 40 mil for MIB 2 is false, because he will be sorely missed especially if they can pull him back in, in an inteligent way. The De-neuralizer sounds feesible, albeit more along the lines of the cartoon series (which by the way is a kick ass show for those who have not seen it) and speaking of the animated series, If the worms are gonna play a bigger part in the second flick, they should be voiced by the guy who does them on the cartoon, because they are fun-ny!!

Tommy Lee: the other white meat.

    by uncapie

Get Pam Anderson's on again, off again husband to play Tommy Lee Jones' part. A talking space alien in his pants? Sure, why not! They already have the footage just CGI a face on it and you're set!

    Famke Janssen as the villainess

    by mr_sinister

Atlantis2001 what are ya talking about?! A hot woman is even more so when playing the villainess! Actually, I think I've seen Famke play nasty more often than nice, but MIB2 is probably largely comedic so it's different. But you're right about the Vincent D'Onofrio thing. Would Famke play a human 'possessed' by an alien? As long as she doesn't look like a walking corpse then I hope she does it. And about Tommy Lee Jones, I'd rather he didn't come back.
