Wanna go to the SPY KIDS Premiere In Austin'

Hey folks, Harry here... As is the case with all films from Austin Filmmakers, there is a local premiere with celebs and big ta-doos of all sorts being planned to benefit the Austin Film Society and also the Ronald McDonald House (which benefits families and children in need). Originally I thought I was going to have to miss this event because I have to be in Los Angeles, Sunday night for POLITICALLY INCORRECT's Oscar Special, but I managed to push leaving so I could stay for the premiere. Now I know some of you are skeptical about a Robert Rodriguez children film... but recently during the South By Southwest Film Festival, Rodriguez gave the audience a preview look at quite a bit of the behind the scenes of the film and a preview of the score which Robert, himself, put together... and the result was quite excited applause. In the latest trailers you see jet packs, spy watches, submarine action, jet fighter action, robot kid action, astro-boy-esque rocket foot action, motor boat action, underwater car action and a big helicopter attack action. Knowing a bit more about the film, I can say confidently that the coolest stuff hasn't even been touched on in the trailers yet.... if Robert realized some of the stuff in the script as well as I think he was capable of. SHOWEST resulted in a very excited response to the film, and frankly I'm dying to finally get a chance to see this film, as Robert has been talking about it for around 4 years now that I've known him.

Rumor has it that Robert will be giving away some props from the film (last Rodriguez premiere he gave away Zeke's car from THE FACULTY) and a small bit part in SPY KIDS 2, which is now a post-strike film start. In addition to the film, there is supposed to be a big carnival with rides and stuff blocking the streets! It is always fun to block the streets! I have heard there are a few tickets left, so hurry up if ya wanna come. BTW... Carla Gugino... that's right, a real honest to goodness DePalma babe! Now onto how you can attend...
