With the announcement of THE DARK CRYSTAL: AGE OF RESISTANCE last year Netflix left us practically salivating for more info on the production and according to Collider we now finally have info with a few images and a voice cast reveal. And what can I say the first images we got of the Gelfing characters Rian, Brea, and Deet are amazing. They stayed true to the original style of the 1982 film, and I can’t be happier, especially since the Jim Henson studio is on the team as well. Just the attention to detail alone on the puppets is amazing. You can see all the love and work put into this. I don’t think fans will be disappointed to see this series.
On top of the fantastic puppets, we’re getting an A+ voice cast too. Helena Bonham-Carter, Mark Hamill, Simon Pegg, Andy Samberg, Keegan-Michael Key, and Natalie Dormer to name a few; all actors known for putting their whole self into their characters. It’s shaping up to be a project that I’m 100% behind. I can say is going to be a magical experience and not to be missed. Here’s hoping we get a release date soon!
