Latin AICN's LOBO Returns to Share Mexico's Love of Stan Lee

Hola Dannie aqui,

Here with the return of Latin AICN writer (and my ex-Husband) LOBO! LOBO is reporting now from the heart of Mexico's capital regarding the effect and reaction of his fellow countrymen and women digesting the passing of Stan Lee. Stans death has been an arrow in the hearts of fans internationally, and somehow I find that comforting, and I hope where ever he is he sees the global outpouring of love.

Here's LOBO's report!

Que Pasa CineLocos y Cómic Crazies!

Lobo here reporting from my new cave in CDMX (Mexico City).

The sad news of Stan Lee's passing to another dimension has traveled all around the world. Here in Mexico City, the fans gathered at Zocalo (the main plaza) dressed as their favorite Marvel characters to honor the Grande Senor Stan Lee creator del Hombre Araña (of Spider-Man). Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the memorial as I had to rush to work (teaching English), I wish I could have attended and got some pictures. From what I hear, there were thousands paying tribute to Stan Lee in costume.

Also, the news was covered in local newspapers/television, and all you could hear on the subway were folks talking about their favorite Marvel characters and Stan "El Hombre" Lee. A gathering of loyal fans is expected at the Museo del Comic later this week as well if I can be there I will.

Here below we have a picture of the cover of the Mexican Newspaper appropriately named EXCELSIOR, I hope you all enjoy the art and sentiments from America's beautiful neighbor Mexico.

It is good to be back at AICN, and I'm honored to return bearing geek Amor de Mexico!

LOBO

Dannie here again,

Today Stan Lees Twitter account posted a video of Stan talking about what the fans mean ( oh gawd... I mean,) meant to him. I thought it more than appropriate to share with this article.

.............WARNING.......

Prepare to cry.

Don't say I didn't warn y'all. (grabs a box of tissues to wipe away the tears)

I would like to thank LOBO for the write-up, and we at AICN look forward to hearing more from AICN's long-lost Chilango (person from Mexico City)!

Stay Strong, Live Good, Love Movies!

Dannie aka Pekosa Peligrosa
