Daredevil 3.3 FAQ

What’s it called?
I don’t know.

Who’s responsible?
The teleplay for 3.3 is credited to Sonay Hoffman (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Private Practice,” “American Crime”).

There’s yet another new showrunner?
Yes, writer-producer Erik Oleson (“Andromeda,” “The Man in the High Castle”) takes the reins. Oleson’s superhero resume includes the five teleplays he wrote for the third season of “Arrow.”

Didn’t the third season of “Arrow” suck ass? Does the third season of “Daredevil” suck as badly?
Oleson was not in charge of “Arrow”; he just worked there. I judge the third season of “Daredevil” quite good to excellent.

I fucking hated all the “Daredevil” characters in “The Defenders.” Why would I watch this?
Oleson had nothing to do with “The Defenders” and “Defenders” showrunner Marco Ramirez has nothing to do with the third season of “Daredevil.”

Is the delightful Night Nurse Clare Temple in this?
She does not appear in the first six episodes.

What says Netflix of 3.3?
Nothing yet.

How does 3.3 start?
The massive Wilson Fisk steps nakedly into a shower.

The big news?
There’s a new emphasis on Vincent D’Onofrio’s Fisk, who gets more screentime than ever this season.

What else is Netflix not telling us?
Matt’s “Defenders” adventures have cost him his superpowers. As the season starts he’s just an angry blind guy getting nursed by nuns.

What’s good?
The Fisk stuff is superb, but I also find myself very much caught up in the saga of a new character named Rahul Nadeem (Jay Ali), an honest but troubled FBI agent who becomes Fisk’s new handler. Also? Joanne Whalley as the hot nun. The relative absence of supersuits and ninjas. “My client is not implying he knows how to reach a wanted fugitive.” “I imagine it brings them greater comfort to hate me.”

No ninjas?
I’ve noticed no ninjas in this year’s first six hours. But there is a lengthy corridor brawl in 3.4.

Does Nadeem become Bullseye?
There’s another FBI agent named Ben Poindexter (Wilson Bethel). Nobody calling himself Bullseye turns up in the first six episodes, though I recall a target-y ballcap in 3.5.

What’s not so good?
I confess my interest flags a bit when the focus repeatedly shifts from Fisk and Nadeem to Karen and Foggy.

How ends episode 3.3, spoiler boy?
“So the devil is back.”

11:59 p.m. Thursday. Netflix.
