Greetings, geeks!
You know what we need more of? More Disney live-action adaptations of animated movies they’ve already milked the life out of! Next up on Disney’s radar is LILO AND STITCH! LILO AND STITCH was fairly underrated when it first came out making only 273.1 million. Hell, even BOLT did better at 310 million in the box office. Though, over the years a bit of a cult following has slowly grown out the woodwork. There were several direct to video sequels, and even a LILO AND STITCH anime, no joke. So it’s really no surprise that they picked LILO AND STITCH for a remake.
The remake will be brought to us by the folks who are also working on the live-action adaptation of ALADDIN… hard to get excited for that because we have no idea how that one is going to turn out yet, but it is coming from Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich of Rideback. Rideback is formally known as Lin Pictures. Though, we can get a little excited, Lin Pictures has brought us titles like IT, THE LEGO MOVIE, and LEGO BATMAN. How that will work out for either Disney animated live-action adaptations, we’ll soon find out.
