The influence of Hong Kong auteur Wong Kar Wai (IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE) is on full display again in Jenkins' third feature-length effort. If you are going to be influenced by a filmmaker though it might as well be one of the greatest like Wong.
IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK tells the story of an African-American woman who sets out to clear the name of her wrongly-convicted husband and prove his innocence before the birth of their child.
