Hal Ashby is one of those directors who you love deeply, without actually knowing it. His movies: HAROLD AND MAUDE, THE LAST DETAIL, BEING THERE - are movies that people tend to feel really, really strongly about. They dive deep into the humanity of their subjects. They give the finger to hypocritical voices of authority. They make you feel less alone.
The new documentary about Hal Ashby, called, simply, HAL, premiered at Sundance this year and opens in LA September 15th. And after seeing this new trailer, we CAN NOT!! WAIT!
