Today with a trailer for "THE FRONT RUNNER" the new film based on the American Senator Gary Hart's 1988 presidential campaign and the infamous affair that rocked both tabloid and news headlines throughout the United States. The film is directed by Jason Reitman the man who brought us "Thank You For Smoking," "Juno," and most recently "Tully."

"THE FRONT RUNNER" stars Hugh Jackman ("Logan," "Les Míserables," and "Chappie") as Senator Gary Hart, Vera Farmiga ("Bates Motel," and "The Departed") as the Senators wife Lee Hart, JK Simmons ("Juno," "La La Land" and "Spider-Man") as Bill Dixon, Sara Paxton (2009's "The Last House On The Left," "Aquamarine," and "The Innkeepers") as the scandalous mistress Donna Rice and comedian Bill Burr as George McGovern.
Well, what do all of you Biopic-boys and modern history junkies think of the trailer? All I have to say is privacy has not increased. This seems a timeless tale of a celebrity being exposed by a frenzied and fanatical media and society that revels in the destruction of those once admired and all involved. Ah, the fickle masses will eat you alive if given half a chance. How many of you remember this scandal? I was only seven at the time and was laid back on politics, oh to the good old days! I am going to reframe from reading up on Senator Grant so I can see the film with fresh eyes. "THE FRONT RUNNER" comes out in American theaters on November 21st, 2018 election day!
