"Star Wars" Actor Oscar Isaac is in Talks For a Role in Matt Reeves’ "THE BATMAN"

Hola Dannie aqui,

The good folks at GeeksWorldWide.com broke the news that actor Oscar Isaac is in talks for a role in Matt Reeves’ "The Batman" project that is said to be loosely based on Frank Miller's 1987 classic series "Batman: Year One." The project is still in its scripting phase and is not going to be based on the prior films (Affleck's Batmans, etc..) there is also talk this film could be the beginning of a new trilogy.  I pray that they will have Miller intensely involved with the project, as he is a creative titan in the industry, and it worked really well for "Sin City." Also, Batman fans throughout the world have been begging for a proper Year One cinematic tribute. I mean for fucks sakes people its perfectly written and storyboarded already, just follow Miller's genius and Dave Mazzucchelli's tremendous artistic eye. Please.

Matt Reeves' is known for directing "War for the Planet of the Apes," "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," "Let Me In," and my favorite of his films "Cloverfield." Reeves' is also known for his writing on films such as "War for the Planet of the Apes," "Let Me In," "The Yards," "The Pallbearer," Under Siege 2: Dark Territory," and televisions "Felicity."

It has not been announced what character Oscar Isaac is being considered for, it could be a villain or maybe even the batty Bruce Wayne. I am hoping he is cast as Batman I know he has the charm and a looming darkness and solitude in his eyes that could be of great use for the caped crusader. Isaac has reprised his role of Poe in "Star Wars: Episode IX" which began filming in the UK earlier this month, he is also currently working on "The Addams Family" and the "Star Wars Resistance" television series.

Most know Oscar Isaac from his work on the recent Star Wars films, some other films he has been in besides the S.W. films are "Ex Machina," "Sucker Punch," "A Most Violent Year," "Drive," "CHE: Part One," "Body of Lies," "XMEN: Apocalypse," and "Annihilation." If Isaac was to tackle a villian in the Batman universe who would you cast him as? How do you all feel about the possibility of him tackling Gotham's dark knight? The fact that Joaquin Phoenix's "Joker" film starts shooting in September in New York City, the "Birds of Prey" film is set to film on January 15th and "Flash" on February 5th, DC fans will be having their hands full of possible awesomeness. Reeves' "The Batman" has yet to announce when they will start filming. The whole project is shrouded in secrecy.
