Robert Redford's "THE OLD MAN & THE GUN" Trailer will Steal Your Hearts

 Hola Dannie aqui,

Today with a trailer for Robert Redford's film "The Old Man & The Gun" written and directed by David Lowery ("A Ghost Story," "St. Nick," "Pete's Dragon," and "Ain't Them Bodies Saints"). Lowery based the film on an article he read in The New Yorker written by David Grann who has worked at the magazine since 2003. The film is based on actual events with a bit of artistic license.

"The Old Man & The Gun" tells the true story of outlaw Forrest Tucker (Robert Redford) a man who escaped prison many times the last time being at the ripe old age of 70 years, and it chronicles the many strings of heists and hoax's that puzzled the police and endeared him to the public.

Alongside Redford, the film stars Casey Affleck ("To Die For," "Chasing Amy," and "Good Will Hunting") as detective John Hunt and John David Washington ("BlacKkKlansman," "Monster," and TV's "Ballers") as LT. Kelley two men obsessed with capturing Forrest Tucker. The talented Sissy Spacek ("Carrie," "Coal Miner's Daughter," and "The Help") portrays Jewel who is Tuckers love interest and actress Tika Sumpter from televisions "One Life To Live" as the character Maureen. Partnering up for the cinematic crime spree with Redford are Danny Glover from the "Lethal Weapon" films who most recently was in the amazing film "Sorry To Bother You" and the multitalented Tom Waits musician and actor from films such as "The Book of Eli," "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus," "Domino," "Coffee and Cigarettes," "Mystery Men," and "Bram Stoker's Dracula."

Here is the free-wheelin' feel good trailer!

How many of you out there are looking forward to "The Old Man & The Gun" coming out on September 28th? I recently RSVPed to get the delight of seeing this film at a press screening so stay tuned to AICN for the review. As excited as I am to see this film it is with a heavy heart that I and many like me will enter the cinemas knowing that this is Robert's farewell to the silver screen. Redford's contribution to cinema would take days to compile and hours for you all to read, so I will not list his past films here just yet, and I will leave on a note looking forward to seeing "The Old Man & The Gun." I would like to ask what are your favorite Redford films? Some of my favorite of his films are "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid," "Jeremiah Johnson," "A River Runs Through It," "The Horse Whisperer," "Sneakers," "Out of Africa," "Three Days of the Condor," "All The President's Men," "The Candidate," and "The Sting."

Stay Strong, Live Good, Love Movies!
