Hey folks... new VENOM trailer is upon us!
Okay, so I have not been this movie's biggest support cheerleader, I know. The Venom-less teaser, well, left a lot to be desired... I wasn't too put out by the previous one, even when the symbiote manifested like a motorcycle helmet around Eddie's face. (And, by-the-by, I'm pretty sure the fan negative reaction caused some sleepless nights and some new investment in the look of the symbiote.)
But this? This, I love. I'm a Marvel purist who's trying to accept that some things I want will just never happen in my lifetime. It bugs me that Venom won't hate Spider-Man because he feels rejected as the symbiote and outdone as Eddie, and was never a part of Peter Parker to begin with. It's really disappointing for a Marvel lifer who wants that stuff.
But seeing Venom menace here is FUN. I am all board the VENOM train. I'm even cool with Hardy's accent. He seems to have watched a bunch of Max Perlich performances to get there, and that's a pretty good subject to imitate.
