‘Who Told You
You Could Take Art??’

Herc Loves This Weekend’s New Episode Of THE VENTURE BROS.!! The First In More Than Two Years!!

I am – Hercules!!

The Venture Bros. 7.1 FAQ

What’s it called?
“The Curse of the Haunted Problem.”

Is it any good?
Oh yes!

Who’s responsible?
Teleplay is credited to series creator Jackson Publick.

How does it start?
A young man in a turban alerts Jonas Venture Jr. to an exciting discovery. “My God,” marvels Junior. “There she is.” “TWO YEARS AGO” is superimposed.

Do we get a lot of Brock this week?
We get the correct amount. But Brock is barely in next week’s installment.

What’s doing with Triana Orpheus?
A good question, given that The Triad is now headquartered in a shitty motel room.

What’s doing with Hank and Dean?
Hank continues to keep busy with his fishy new mob-daughter girlfriend Sirena. Dean is bedeviled by malfunction.

What’s doing with Rusty?
He’s busy insisting the building’s new malfunctions are technological – not supernatural – in nature.

What’s doing with Quizboy and Pete White?
Pete continues heading up information technologies for the Manhattan VenTech HQ. Quizboy this week flees mayhem.

The big news?
Are you ready for The Action Man? Someone long – and I do mean long – absent returns at episode’s end.

What else is Cartoon Network not telling us?
No post-credits punchline! And there seems to be much stronger episode-to-episode continuity now.

What’s great?
Rusty’s rejoinder invoking Clippy. Modern Enemy Monthly. Brock’s homage to “Poltergeist.” The Pazuzu cameo. Patrick Warburton as Brock Samson. Christopher McCulloch as Horace Gentleman. Cristin Milioti as Sirena. “I ain’t worried, Peaches.” “Does this make us all Green Lanterns now?” “Who told you you could take Art?” “We’ll have to redo all the narration!”

What’s not so great?
No Crusaders Action League! No Triana or Dr. Mrs. The Monarch! (Only the latter returns next week, and she does so in a big way.)

How does it end, spoiler boy?
“It’s trying to run away!” exclaims Orpheus.

8:59 p.m. PT / 11:59 ET Sunday. Cartoon Network.
