SLENDERMAN will slip into your mind with this trailer

Freddy Beans here with the 2^nd trailer for SLENDER MAN in theaters August 10^th.

The movie looks like it could be creepy, that’s about as far as I’m pushing my hopes with that PG-13 rating. I’m rooting for this one to succeed because I’m old and we lost all our fun slasher films and their sequels. (Victor Crowley from HATCHET is the latest and only one I can think of off the top of my head)

My main complaint with this trailer is it’s so dark I can’t see anything going on. This could play well into the Slender Man’s movements and appearances I suppose. He really is an imposingly simplistic presence that sticks in your craw.

There’s a semi-decent documentary about his affects on the land called BEWARE THE SLENDERMAN. It revolves around a real life crime where two not quite teenagers lured their friend to the woods to sacrifice her to the gangly bad guy. And thankfully failed.

Sylvain White (STOMP THE YARD) directs here on a story written by David Birke based on Victor Surge’s (AKA Eric Knudsen) Creepypasta character meme. Joey King, Annalise Basso star with Javier Botet as the Slender Man himself.

I don’t really know what SLENDER MAN does to his victims, or how he is evoked. I just know he prefers children and has so many storylines at this point that he could be used in any medium.
If they don’t get a sequel out of this one I know someone is losing their job!

Any Slender Man fans out there?

Any fans of the Slender Man diet at least???

I want a hard ‘R’ rating for my horror movies but THE RING pulled it off quite miraculously. THE RING TWO not so much ;)
