The bestselling action horror manga series Tokyo Ghoul has a live action trailer just dropped. Kentarō Hagiwara (Anniversary) is the director and the film stars Masataka Kubota (13 ASSASSINS) as Ken Kaneki and Fumika Shimizu (Kamen Rider Fourze) as Tōka Kirishima.
This dark Japanese fantasy manga series is written and illustrated by Sui Ishida. It was also a popular anime television series that was adapted by Studio Pierrot. The tale is set in an alternate reality where ghoulish beings that live on flesh live among the regular humans in secret. These ghouls have to hide their true nature in order to avoid being hunted by the authorities. Ken Kaneki is a regular college student who discovers after leaving the hospital that the organs transferred into his body were from a ghoul and now he is a half-ghoul but like normal ghouls, Kaneki must feast on human flesh in order to survive. He must adapt into ghoul society or die, that and keep his secrets hidden from his human companions.
