James Mangold to write and direct the BOBA FETT Star Wars story!

Hey, folks... guessing that the buzz from SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY have prompted this news, but word is out that the Star Wars universe's most feared bounty hunter, Boba Fett, is getting his own standalone adventure, to be written and directed by James Mangold (LOGAN).
I was a bit meh when I heard about Simon Kinberg developing it, because I have long been disappointed by the way the franchise has treated Fett since RETURN OF THE JEDI and his ignominious Wilhelm down into the mouth of the Sarlacc. That gives me a little trepidation at what kind of story Lucasfilm will write for my favorite Star Wars character. I don't want him to be the hero of his own tale; I want him to be the Anti-Hero of his own tale.
But I want to believe in Mangold; something about this announcement has me really positive for the whole endeavor. Maybe it's that LOGAN is the best superhero film I've ever seen (even if it isn't my favorite-- still have a profound love for SPIDER-MAN 2, despite its problems); I can only be excited at the thought of what he'd do with complete control of Fett.
I honestly couldn't care which time period it takes place; Pre-New Hope, Post-Return, anything is fine to me as long as it's done with love for the character and no jackassery. My first and primary hope for this film is that it begins with Fett trying to escape the Sarlacc and goes to flashbacks of Fett's post-Clonetrooper life as he begins to make a name for himself. My second hope is that the rogue's gallery from THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK-- Bossk, Dengar, IG-88, 4-LOM and Zuckuss all have minor parts to play in the tale. Particularly Dengar, whose relationship with Fett in the pre-Episode II expanded Universe was certainly interesting. Finally... I wouldn't mind a tale of an Order-66 surviving Mace Windu being hunted by Boba for the beheading of Jango. That, to me, is a worthwhile Boba Fett story, even if it's a hard one to root for the protagonist...
