Hey folks... looks like a deal has been struck by Netflix to begin production on an adaptation of the Stephen King/Mike Hill novella, IN THE TALL GRASS. Vincenzo Natali (CUBE) is writing and directing.
The story centers around a college-age brother and sister who run to a tall grassy area to help after hearing a child's plea, only to find themselves trapped by something sinister in the grass with them. James Marsden is set to star as someone inside the grass with the siblings.
My favorite segment in the CREEPSHOW films was THE RAFT, and there's a similar vibe of being trapped with dwindling options here. Given Natali's work with mysteries and small spaces, this could be phenomenal. Looking forward to seeing this... read about it here at Deadline Hollywood.
