Jim Parsons, Haley Joel Osment, and Ted Bundy, OH MY!

Ted Bundy was one of the most prolific serial killers in America. During the 1970s, or possibly earlier, he had attacked and committed numerous homicides with his victims being young women. He was a killer, rapist, burglar, kidnapper, and necrophile. Just before he was executed, he had confessed to thirty murders, and there is no way of knowing if that is the maximum number of his victims. And who to cast as Ted Bundy in a new movie about him? Why Zac Efron, of course! They’re calling the project EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE.

“A chronicle of the crimes of Ted Bundy, from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, who refused to believe the truth about him for years.”

Jim Parsons of THE BIG BANG THEORY will be joining the cast. Along with Parsons, we surprisingly have Haley Joel Osment joining as well, who has slowing been bringing himself back into the public's eye after making appearances in recent TV shows like X-FILES, SWEDISH DICKS, and FUTURE MAN; and doing some voice work for a CARS knock-off called CarGo. As an animation geek and I had to investigate CarGo further. While the art looks 100% like a CARS knock-off with FOOD FIGHT quality animation, the synopsis is impressively dark. “A young car learns the importance of family when he embarks on a mission to rescue his father who's been sent to Clunker Island to be re-purposed as junk metal.” Jesus. I know what I’m going to be watching when I find some free time. It certainly sounds better than Paddington-fucking-Bear 2. Anyways, I digress.

John Malkovich will be portraying Judge Edward Cowart, who presided over the trial. Lily Collins plays Bundy’s long time girlfriend, while Kaya Scodelario is playing Bundy’s ex-wife.

The script written by Michael Werwie has won the Nicholl Fellowship prize and was named on the Black List. Joe Berlinger directs.

What a cast and crew, this movie is looking to be something else. I mean that in a good way!
