"UNSANE" is filmed 100 percent on an iPhone, giving it a gritty realism that pairs well with an insane cyberstalker film. The film is written by Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer, Bernstein and Greer have worked together on several projects "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector" and "Max Keeble's Big Movies." Those two "films" have me whispering to myself "Oh wow, I would have never paired these guys with Soderbergh" but the premise and the trailer are highly interesting, giving slight head nods to "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" and the classic "Shock Corridor."
The film stars Claire Foy who many know through her work on television's "The Crown," "Little Dorrit," and the film "Season of the Witch." Foy is joined by Juno Temple the actress from "Horns," "The Dark Knight Rises," "Atonement," and "Maleficent." "UNSANE" will be released in the U.K. and America on March 23rd and will be released in Germany and Russia on March 29th, also it is due for release in Sweden on June 20th.
The trailer sold me on the film, I love mental mindfuckery and Soderbergh is a master of weird! Bring it, Soderbergh!
