Westboro Baptist "Church" Film in the Works- Dannie

Hola Dannie aqui,

Found this little bit of news that slipped through the cracks yesterday, according to Variety “(Hate) A Love Story” is a film about the disgusting, revolting, fuckturds at the Westboro Baptist Church. Branded Pictures Entertainment is developing the film, and they have Rod Lurie set to direct. You may know him from his work on "Straw Dogs" from 2011, 2000's "The Contender" or maybe the Robert Redford film "The Last Castle." We know as a director Lurie likes to tackle taboo subject matters, and you do not get more polarizing than the ignorant assholes of W.B.C. and Phelps family.

The film will mainly revolve around the controversial supreme court battle between the Father of fallen Marine Lance Corporal Matthew Snyder and the dumbshits at Westboro Baptist Church. See they showed up at Matthews funeral and terrorized the mourners. So his Father Al Snyder (also a gay man) decided to sue and lost. Westboro won via the First Amendment, and countersued for damages and won. Uggg.... I believe in the First Amendment I mean fuck look at Talkbacks I only have banned spambots and have left some pretty hurtful shit up, because even though we have some dumbshit flat-Earthers and trolls, everyone deserves a voice. I am sure that last comment will get a ton of disbelief, but seriously it is true, I debated on killing talkbacks when I took the site over, and it just did not sit well with my philosophy. I can see why they won. However, it is revolting. Al Snyder had to pay them over sixteen thousand dollars via the countersuit. It is entirely soul-wrenching to think of the Phelps family (they run the "Church"), they are radical bigots, and they know how to skate around the legalities of their stalker-esque protest. I truly hate these "people, " and like an excellent little hippy I try to keep my heart devoid of hatred and such, but yeah I hate them, and I am pretty sure any god that exists would look down on them and question their creation.

"They turned this funeral into a media circus, and they wanted to hurt my family. They wanted their message heard, and they didn't care who they stepped over. My son should have been buried with dignity, not with a bunch of clowns outside". --- Al Snyder

"By the court making this decision, they're not only telling me that they're taking their side, but I have to pay them money to do this to more soldiers and their families," said Albert Snyder

I am very interested in seeing this film; I know it will be a painful hate filled examination of our society and the fringe fanatics that flaunt their freedom and are only comparable to other vile groups like the nimrodic neo-nazis and the KKK. This one will be interesting; I will be actively following this project as it is one I feel very passionate about (the volatile subject matter).

“The first amendment is the FIRST amendment for a reason — our most cherished right. But it often creates muddy and uncomfortable situations, ones that are the source of great drama and national self-reflection,” Lurie said.
