On today's docket, Slade Joseph Wilson will step up to the stand-alone DC film franchise. Firstly, not much is clear on this subject as of now, but let us examine the case notes as it unfolds. Joe Maganiello is suspect number one for bringing the mastermind assassin justice to the screen. Maganiello was cryptically mentioned by Ben Affleck as playing Deathstroke in THE BATMAN prior, but let the record show that the script and the director have been changed. If the case for that rests, then DEATHSTROKE will be Maganello's first leading role he will have landed in a blockbuster film. There is also evidence that Gareth Evans of THE MERANTAU, THE RAID: REDEMPTION and THE RAID 2 is in early talks with Warner Bros., on shooting the film. We can only suspect that the film might be taking place in the new DC "Elseworlds" Film series they have in store for us. If that isn't the case, then I look forward to seeing how the continuity alongside THE BATMAN film will play out. The one thing that is sure, is that if Gareth Evans directs - this will be the best shot, best action that we've ever seen in Superhero Cinema. Get your drool guards ready, the film isn't up for release until possibly 2019.
