Big Eyes spies a villain cast for CAPTAIN MARVEL!

It’s still a secret who he is even cast as, but Ben Mendelsohn of “Rogue One” is slotted for villain of the new “Captain Marvel” movie! Word is he is filling the role of Super Skrull.
The MCU seems to be skipping the traditional origin story of Carol Danvers getting her powers and the mantle of Captain Marvel from Mar-Vell, the Kree protecting Earth from Skrulls. I think this is a good move as it introduces more female superheroes into the franchise and allows for more FEMINISM in the Marvel Universe. With the introduction of Wonder Woman into the DC cinematic universe, something revolutionary has been started.
I’m hopeful that this will lead to even more diversity in the future, hopefully to bring Jessica Drew (Spider Woman) into the MCU or perhaps to bring Kamala Kahn (Ms. Marvel) in to take over the mantle of Captain Marvel in the future.
Brie Larson is cast as the lead role, Captain Marvel. As an animation geek, I’ve literally missed everything she has been in, so I can only say about that is her look seems fitting.
“Captain Marvel” is currently scheduled for release in 2019.
