STAR WARS!! J.J. Abrams Says IX Will Take Audiences ‘Places They Haven’t Gone’!!

I am – Hercules!!

"We have to take them places that they haven’t gone, and that’s sort of our responsibility. It’s a strange thing," writer-director J.J. Abrams told BBC Radio 4 of his next movie, "Star Wars: Episode IX."

Is it “a strange thing” because Abrams' 2015 effort “Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens” seemed to many so similar to 1977’s original “Star Wars”?

Strictly speaking, the four planets visited by "The Force Awakens" were not planets visited by any other Star Wars movie.

“Rogue One” composer Michael Giacchino, continued Abrams, has “worked on things like Planet of the Apes and Star Trek and Star Wars, and these are the things of dreams. Yet we can’t just revel in that; we have to go elsewhere."

John Williams composed and conducted the music for the first seven Star Wars “episodes,” and is expected to do the same for Rian Johnson’s “Episode VIII: The Last Jedi,” which hits cinemas in less than two months. Williams, 85, is not yet confirmed for Episode IX, which will be directed by Abrams from a screenplay by Abrams (“Episode VII: The Force Awakens”) and Chris Terrio (“Argo”) and is due in cinemas Dec. 19, 2019.

I would be particularly grateful if Abrams' IX is as entertaining as 2009's "Star Trek," still Abrams' best movie.
