Azealia Banks plays aspiring rapper Coco, she will be directed by the Wu-Tang master Voltron head himself The RZA. "I'm extremely excited and vigorously inspired to be working with Azealia Banks in my new directorial installment," RZA said in a statement.
LOVE BEATS RHYMES sparks of a modern day version of POETIC JUSTICE. Azealia Banks takes on the role of an aspiring poet searching to find her voice. She struggles for credibility in the busy world of record industries as she hones her craft within a contemporary live setting. She decides to up her lyrical flow game by taking a poetry class in school. She is seen showboating the class but not impressing her teacher professor Dixon played by Jill Scott, she is taken into the underworld of poetry, a slam space known as The House. Here she finds challenges and mentors that help her poetry flower and flourish.
