FAN-FRIGGIN-TASTIC Online Interviews with the cast and some crew of JURASSIC PARK 3
Hey folks, Harry here.... CanalPlus has conducted some damn fine interviews with a lot of the cast and crew of JURASSIC PARK 3. Folks, watching 5-10 minutes of William H Macy talking and describing various dinosaurs is just about the coolest dang thing I've seen.... You'll hear all about different action set pieces, see various dinosaurs, sets and so on. I'm still watching the feature right now... Also dark horizons has a publicity still from JP3. I don't know what to make of it. Is it a production shot or a still from the movie.Tea Leoni is freaking out while Sam Neil looks like it's fun and capers but the dino in front of them looks menacing. Could actually be the Spino-dino of the new movie....

I've been watching these videos... they're AWESOME by the way. It seems to me that this is going to be some sort of French documentary about JP3, but none of it has been edited together. I mean, the interviews are uncut and you can hear the directors off camera screaming cut. Looks like a rough patch of something that the Frenchies will someday see on their TVs or DVDs... what do you guys think? Possible?

This was great. Yet I hope that Laura Derns character and Sams respark their relationship, if not it might ruin one of the points of the first film. But I digress, looks hopeful thanks Frenchy.

Well, at least I know Jurassic Park 3 has one thing going for it-- no Goldblum. Am I the only person who finds him annoying and arrogant?

Did anyone else love how he described Spinosaurus vs. T-Rex. I am officially intrigued and looking forward to this movie. :)

Harry, where's the Spider-Man talk back? There's a lot of shit that needs discussion, they did find a Flash Thompson and although he looks the part, he could also pass for Brian O'Halloran's student double. Also, we should be seeing the official outfit next week, will that actually have a chance of being reported on the site or will it be ignored? -
The section with Stan Winston and the animatronic raptor is friggin' awesome! The raptor looks/reacts/moves so much more realistically than those in the first two films. It seems to be grey with purple(?) markings. It has a yellow/beige chest and blood red eyes! Also, there seems to be some sort of quills, or feathers going down the neck.
Overall, quite different from the earlier versions, very menacing indeed! -
Okay, did any of you happen to notice that JP1 sucked and that JP2 sucked even worse? What chance in hell do you give JP3? I see the same old crud played out to milk more $$ from a franchise that was all special effects and no plot (hell, even the second book was trash.) Maybe you will figure it out for yourselves...or maybe the same mentality that gives us Halloween 28 will prevail.

This guy flat-out rules, my friends. Why the hell isn't he in this movie? He was far and away the best thing about Lost World (I think Roland Tembo is the closest Spielberg has ever gotten to recreating Quint), and, that same year, he deserved an Oscar nomination for 'Brassed Off'. Why anyone would hire Mrs. Mulder ahead of postlethwaite is beyond me - but then again, i lost all hope for JP3 as soon as Spielberg dropped out. Personally, i reckon Lost World was a disappointment, but with maybe 3 or 4 awesome scenes, and JP looks more and more like a flawed masterpiece as time goes by. It's really darker, tougher, and less sentimental than many of Spielberg's supposedly more 'adult' pictures (what a stupid label to give to a movie). I also don't understand why many people knock on the storyline - am i the only one to have noticed that nearly everything that happens in the second half is foreshadowed in the first? But hey, if you can name a better event movie to have been made subsequently, then i'm all ears. ID4? Armageddon? Titanic? Twister? Godzilla? Exactly. The original JP rules - so shut up.

I'm a HUGE Spielberg fan, but ENOUGH with the DINOSAURS Stevie!!!! Already been done twice and who cares anymore! Laura Dern was horrible in the original and will be horrible in this. Macy kicks ass though!

Was there any kind of movie like JP1? Before 1993 all dinosaur movies were Godzilla-like creatures and monster movies that copied the style of Jaws. JP1 combined the wonder of E.T. and the thrills of Jaws. The movie showed dinosaurs as magnificent creatures and showed the power of science. It didn't have to show a lot of gore just to be scary, all the thrills were properly executed and never overdone. However, JP1 was destroyed by JP2. When The Lost World came out, it showed nothing but people being chased by dinosaurs. So audiences lost respect for the first one. They saw it as a people-being-eaten-movie rather than a Spielberg masterpiece. Now, with Joe Johnston behind the camera (director of the crappy film Jumanji, although I liked Rocketeer) JP1 will just be known as another summer special effects movie.
