I'LL BE BACK - but this time it's Linda Hamilton in T6!

Hey folks, Harry here... Borys Kit over at The Hollywood Reporter got a helluva scoop with Cameron talking about the sixth TERMINATOR film that he is producing and developing for DEADPOOL's Tim Miller to helm.   Mainly that Linda Hamilton will be returning to the role of Sarah Connor -

"There are 50-year-old, 60-year-old guys out there killing bad guys,” he said, referring to aging male actors still anchoring movies, “but there isn’t an example of that for women.”

Ok - So James Cameron says that, I think Helen Mirren was 65 and 68 in RED and RED 2 as Victoria... but then, she wasn't the main character.  But I get his point.  I would kill to see an 80 year badass Jane Fonda as an elder BARBARELLA bringing that character to life as an erotic warrior - advanced in life.   That's something I've never even thought about - but what a great idea.   I know a few killer ol ladies that would cheer the arrival - and just personally - it'd be something I haven't really seen before.   Usually as actresses get older, they get pushed into matron roles, biographies, or just crazy psycho ol ladies in cinema.   But this is very cool!  Michelle Pffeifer is playing the original Wasp, Janet Van Dyne in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP.   So it isn't exactly the most out of the box idea.  But hey - diversity of character roles in sex, age, race, you name it - I'm all for.   Film is for showing me everything that I'm not.   So cool.

If she's still around, then this means that Cameron is skipping and erasing Jonathan Mostow's T3: RISE OF THE MACHINES - and that's pretty much an a-ok idea, though I truly love the turn in that final act.   But yeah, let's skip that.   Keep Sarah Connor angry and fighting and being the badass she is!  I just hope - that Cameron calls it T3...   just to reformat right over the non-Cameron involved films.   I respect that.

I do feel that one of the main reasons I loathe the concept of that third film was the idea that somehow... Sarah Connor died.  To me, Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor is eternal.  The very spirit of humanity!   Fighting to live, never giving up!

I love the best older actor films.  Those John Wayne 70s Crime films were awesome. Elder Eastwood is awesome.   It's all great.   It's great to think we might see Linda in another TERMINATOR movie!

Keep it cool,

Harry
