In last spring’s season finale we learned The Good Place was secretly The Bad Place, and the big news is this gamechanger has in no way written the show into a corner. I am loathe to give away too much, but suffice it to say everything is moving MUCH more quickly this season.
So much fascination is derived now from seeing how The Bad Place works that one almost doesn’t need the jokes, but the jokes keep coming, and they continue to be unusually funny by sitcom standards.
