“The Orville,” which followed a big NFL game on Fox last Sunday, got a big sampling, but it will not be following football when it moves to Thursdays in four days.
HBO’s “The Deuce” opened with a 0.2, tying it with Showtime’s “Ray Donovan.” FX’s almost last-episode of “The Strain” and Starz’ season premiere of “Outlander” both hit a 0.3. Sundance’s mesmerizing “Top of the Lake: China Girl” went largely unwatched with a 0.06 bow.
“Rick and Morty” was cable’s top Sunday show, beating even The Weather Channel’s hurricane coverage.
