Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I know very little about Mouse Guard, but I dig the pedigree developing around it. Per Per Deadline Wes Ball is in talks to direct a Gary "Rogue One" Whitta scripted adaptation of the popular graphic novel series about medieval mice. Yeah, I know. Sounds silly as shit, but it's supposed to be dark and awesome and has a Jim Henson-y vibe.
Matt Reeves is producing for Fox and the film is said to be a live action/CG hybrid a la Reeves' Apes movies, with a heavy focus on performance capture.
Ball is at an interesting spot in his career. Right now he's just the Maze Runner guy, but this is his chance to spread his wings a little bit.
Since I have no connection to the source material at all I'm pretty neutral on this so far, but if it has Matt Reeves' attention it has my attention. What about you?
