SWEET COUNTRY is a true crime story of Australia in the 1920's with Sam Neill!!!! Trailer here!

Hey folks, Harry here...   The Aboriginal peoples of Australia are some of the most beautiful human beings on the planet.  I've been fascinated with them since I saw Nicolas Roeg's WALKABOUT as a young boy, then read every National Geographic article I could. I've still never met an Aboriginal, as I've still yet to ever travel to Australia, but there's a new film set in 1920's Australia and detailing a true tale of an Aboriginal man that was hunted for killing a man abusing and it looks like enslaving a young Aboriginal boy.  The film features Sam Neill, but looks like he's not quite the main focus here, thankfully.  The Aboriginal peoples of Australia are also reffered to as Torres Strait Islanders.   This film looks like a helluva story.  Check out the trailer:

Doesn't that look great?  This is the second film from Warwick Thornton, who made SAMSON & DELILAH which was about a pair of Aboriginal Australians in love, from 2009.   That was quite a lovely film.   SWEET COUNTRY does not yet have an American distributor, but did win the Golden Camera award at Cannes this year and has quite a lot of praise building for the film!

Keep it cool,

Harry
