The Xbox One X Project Scorpio Limited Edition is available for pre-order!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The Xbox One X was announced a couple months back, but today at GamesCom Microsoft finally opened up the pre-orders. You can get the limited edition Project Scorpio Edition right this very moment!

After constantly getting shown up by Sony on the hardware front, Microsoft went all out to get ahead with their latest Xbox, which boasts 12GB GDDR5 in graphic memory, an 8-core custom AMD CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, a 6 Teraflop GPU, 326GB/sec memory bandwidth, liquid cooling. Translation: a 4k gaming experience that promises to radically reduce load times and broaden the definition of beauty in console gaming.

It comes with a 4k Blu-Ray player, DTS, Dolby and PCM audio capabilities and it is completely compatible with everything from Xbox One. Games, controllers, accessories, etc.

Since we're all moving to 4k anyway it seems like Microsoft wanted to be ahead of the curve for once on these tech specs. I fully expect Playstation's next incarnation to up the game yet again, but for now we have the new Xbox to hold us over.

Priced at $499 and releasing this November 7th, you can pre-order yours right now, which is a good idea because they never make enough of any of these consoles on release. If you want one, best to put in your pre-order now to guarantee you have one this holiday season and don't have to fight Black Friday shoppers for the 2 that get put in stock pre-Christmas.
