Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. So, the trailer for Darren Aronofsky's MOTHER! snuck online late Monday night. What a pleasant surprise for a night owl like me, and hopefully a pleasant surprise for my fellow night owl brethren who may be up in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
What I love so much about this trailer is that it looks like Aronofsky made a Fantastic Fest movie... but at a level that only Darren Aronofsky can, with A-list cast and crew. It looks beautiful, restrained, super creepy, even a teensy tiny bit Kubrickian and it has a gangbuster cast, including Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer.
I will say that I feel like I know way too much about the movie after watching the trailer, so if you're already inclined to watch it (and it comes out in less than 6 weeks) maybe consider skipping it.
That's easier to suggest than actually do. I know. Hell, I watched the damn thing myself (twice!), but still... bear it in mind.

Either way, it looks like a classy genre pic done up well and I can't wait to see that particular pairing of actors play a bit. Thank goodness that wait ain't long.
