Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Well, this is just about perfect, isn't it? Josh Brolin in theory would make an awesome Cable. He's got the age on his face, the look in his eye that tells you he's seen some shit and the steely cold attitude. All that adds up to a believable cybernetically enhanced soldier from the future. But something could always fuck it up. Bad makeup, Brolin not fully invested in the character, etc.
I don't think we have to worry about any of that.
