Hey folks, another Comic Con means another Reinventing Horror panel hosted by me, your old pal Ambush Bug aka M.L. Miller. But this one is special as it marks the tenth horror panel I’ve done at Comic Con. This year, I was lucky enough to have the Spierig Brothers (directors of UNDEAD, DAYWALKERS, PREDESTINATION, & the upcoming JIGSAW), Roxanne Benjamin (producer of the V/H/S series, and director of segments from SOUTHBOUND, & XX), the filmmaking duo of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (RESOLUTION, SPRING, & the upcoming THE ENDLESS), and Matteo Pizzolo (publisher of Black Mask Studios & writer of the hot new CALEXIT comic). The panel was lively, the crowd was wild, and the panelists were pumped to talk about all things horror.
While I can’t show the clips from JIGSAW and THE ENDLESS that I showed at the panel, I can show the rest of the conversation we had thanks to the unblinking camera of the talented Jordan Rennert (you can find him @respectjordan on Twitter and Instagram). I also want to give special thanks to Rachel Walker who helped me put this whole thing together.
