007!! Is The Director of SICARIO And BLADE RUNNER 2049 Helming The Next BOND??

I am – Hercules!!

Mike Fleming Jr. of Deadline has a source who claims Denis Villeneuve, director of “Blade Runner 2049,” “Arrival,” “Sicario,” “Enemy” and “Prisoners” (the Jackman/Gyllenhaal kidnap thriller that served as my favorite movie of 2013), is one of three frontrunners to helm the next Daniel Craig 007 movie.

While Villeneuve has met with producers on the project, his participation may depend on how close he is to starting Legendary’s new “Dune” movie.

The other two on Deadline’s shortlist are Yann Demange (2014’s “’71”) and David Mackenzie (“Hell or High Water”).

Not on Fleming’s frontrunner list is “Dunkirk” writer-director Christopher Nolan.

Set for a Nov. 8, 2019 release, the new Bond is being written by usual suspects Neal Purvis & Robert Wade, who have been scripting 007 films since Pierce Brosnan was making them in the 1990s, including “The World is Not Enough,” “Die Another Day,” “Casino Royale,” “Quantum of Solace,” “Skyfall” and “Spectre.”
